Hey, everyone! I’m using FEBuilder to make a Fire Emblem 6 rebalance, and I seem to be stuck on the first chapter, because the game freezes when I hit “save”. I reset the game, and the saved slot no longer exists and I’m prompted to start a new game.
Any thoughts?
I thought that maybe it was an event problem, but the event seems to match up just fine with the original.
Are you per chance using the Gringe translation as a base, then using the CSA_Creator_For_FE6 patch (or Magic Extends) in order to implement new magic animations?
Because that’s the most well know reason behind the ‘save freezing’ from other hacks.
If it is indeed the reason, then you can try this fix by Kemui52. I used it in my own FE6 project;
Ah, about the CSA_Editor fix, if you indeed installed it as FEBuilder’s patch, what you have to do is go back to an earlier version that doesn’t have it, and instead install Kemui52’s fix only.
Basically instead of installing it through FEBuilder’s patch, you instead only install the fix, using the event installer (or Event Assembler).
How do I upload that 7z report thing, so that you could just look at it yourself?
The FE6 Localization Patch v1.2.1 from Serene’s Forest. I’m not aware specifically of this “Gringe translation”, maybe we’re talking about the same patch?
Funny enough, this is my first time actually playing/testing my game, so I have no idea where and when the error started occurring.
So, if you already made the 7z report file, I think you need permissions to upload files first.
Like said on the post, if you aren’t able to upload files here, you should get permissions in 24 hours, or you can flag your post to ask the mods for permissions instead.
And about the FE6 Localization Patch v1.2.1, that’s indeed Gringe’s translation, so this should for sure be a case of the bug between the translation patch and CSA_Creator.
