Absolutely. Hopefully some skilled hacker emerges and makes a million patches

This applies most to the event engine. In terms of making patches, itās mostly the same for all 3 games, except that fe8u has better documentation and more patches already made for it. When porting code to fe6/fe7, I have to manually look up addresses for functions, find some myself, figure out the ram used, find where to hook the code, and check that it all works. The time to do this adds up quickly, so most things are made exclusively for fe8u now.
If most people in the community had decided to hack fe6 or fe7 instead, then it would be the easiest one to hack.

Do you think there will be more documentation for specifically graphics patches? If there was a detailed guide to make graphics replacing patches, Iād commit my time to it for sure
Some graphics involve TSA, which complicates things. You might find this worth reading:
But most graphics can simply be replaced by clicking import in febuilder. Iām not sure what youāre looking for in terms of additional patches related to graphics.
Mostly the intro cutscenes (Not the text, the actual images of dragons, the scouring, and the heroes) and some user interface elements in the route select screen (Iāll add screenshots to this post in a bit. I donāt have access to my PC right now)

Mokha made a patch for a custom Game Intro, which I made a Tutorial on as well. Though, itās internally handled as a GIF, with individual frames (similar to a Spell animation). And if you make it too long, it can tank your ROM space.
So yeah. I agree. I WISH there was a more accessible way of making custom intros that involved moving sprites, as opposed to frames.
Sadly only available for FE8⦠which pretty much leaves us with almost no option to replace the FE7 intro
