As for Act 3 progress, I’ve been working more on chapter 23. Have this base conversation snippet out of context
Alright, i wanted to post some development progress as we get closer to the FEE3 trailer drop! Outside of the game, I got the game database up to date with all the changes on my end, and its changes are going to be public at the same time as the trailer and version 0.11.1.
More support conversations have been added as well, so please look forward to reading through those!

i was giving the game’s script another look and uncovered some shaky writing, so i’m gonna be revising cutscene dialogue here and there (most of it being Act 2 stuff) i’m gonna be giving older support convos a once over as well. hopefully after getting that done, i can start making new portraits!
2! More! Days!
Another quick update to build up hype! I’ve been writing up new base conversations and revising/adding new bits of dialogue to intro/outro cutscenes of certain chapters to hopefully have a more tight narrative and give more characterization moments. Right now, I’m going through Support conversation drafts that my collaborators have sent me, so hopefully those will be ready for the big update too.
Other than the writing, I’ve been working on new portraits as well, so please look forward to a character or two getting a glow up from being a spliced portrait

I’ve been feeling a bit sick for most of the day so I couldnt do as much as I wanted to do. However!! I got a couple new portraits done and got CGs for certain support conversations drawn up so even if I don’t get more done before my trailer drops, I’m satisfied with the work I put in for this big update. (I’m gonna be busy livestreaming on YT (shameless plug) so I don’t really have time to do more the day of)
I’m feeling nice, so I’ll show off one of those CGs.

Hey guys! I’ll most likely be busy by the time the trailer drops, so I’ll make this post letting you all know the newest update dropped! Old and new players will find some cool stuff with this update, namely a good handful of new bits of dialogue whether that be supports, base conversations, in-battle talks, there will be something new to read!
And can’t forget all the new stuff the trailer shows off as well. Hope y’all will enjoy that, btw. I think I found a… “style” for CoR’s trailers to abide by lol

EDIT: Update to v0.11.2 is done! Just a couple of oversights on my part lol That did give me an opportunity to include something I forgot to add in the previous update too, so all’s well!
EDIT 2: Had to fix up a typo in the Arena code, so if you downloaded the game earlier today, please give the game another download!
Alright, got an update rolling out because there were a few oversights I caught while cleaning up the event code for Act 2’s chapters. Namely, just some very niche things that could potentially break the game if encountered I did add a new base convo to Chapter 17 and a couple more supports, so it’s not all bugfixes
Hey y’all, just wanted to share an Act 3 progress report! I got an Aum Staff programmed in! (Called “Amaterasu” here)
Other than that, I’ve been refining the map for Chapter 23, figuring out the strength of the boss and the new unit you’ll recruit there. I might stream myself refreshing myself on how the first two acts play out next Saturday since i havent done a playtest on my own in a hot minute. I’ll make a more solid decision when it’s closer to next weekend.

I won’t be posting on the thread every time I do one just so I don’t annoy everyone with the self-shilling. So I would recommend at least subbing to my channel to at least get updated with that!

Other than that, I’ve been hard at work testing out new features including but not limited to:
Growth rates for the Constitution stat
Adding Thieves to Act 1 maps that have chests
I’ve also been messing around enemy classes, placements, etc for Act 1 maps now that I have a better grasp of map design, so Act 1 is gonna feel a little different than previous versions once Act 3 drops.
And hey, if you missed the dev stream yesterday, Forrest (in the Animated Actor trope sort of fashion) did the play testing live and will continue playing through this upcoming Saturday!
I’m not sure how often I’ll post about progress towards the completion of Act 3, just know that work’s been going steadily!
Hey hey hey! A new major update coming in! Mostly a lot of rebalancing of stuff, ironing out game-crashing bugs, all that good stuff. Check the included changelog for all the new updates because oh boy there are a LOT. Some of the major changes include:
Constitution growth rates for all units
No more Casual Mode (sorry for all the Casual-lovers out there, i just cant be bothered to code in conditional checks for things such as changes in dialogue)
Krista now has to be the last unit to leave an Escape map without leaving other units behind.
New tomes!
I’ll get the database updated in the near future (hopefully) to note all the stat updates and new support conversations.
