Hey guys! Got another work stream done, and I managed to draw up a bunch of CGs as well as finish up cutscene stuff up to the intro of chapter 20! We’re so close to a finished Act 2, I can almost taste it!! Anyway, I just wanted to show off a particular CG I’m proud of.

Hey guys! I’ve been adding more supports, doing more balancing stuff, and all that while I’ve been watching my husband go through the game. Speaking of which, he’s gonna be continuing his playthrough in about half an hour on YouTube here:

ACT 2 IS HERE!!!
Cycle of Remorse v0.10.0 is here with all Act 2 chapters playable! Other big changes include:
- An extra save slot!
- New Personal Skills for some characters!
- Adjusted bases and stats!
- Iron Longbows! (which implies the future existence of Steel Longbows and Silver Longbows, perhaps?)

Spoilery question about chapter 10
Does defeating Ferrach change anything later on in the game? I beat the chapter without, went back to a previous battle save and was able to do it, but didn’t keep going on a save where he was defeated

Other than minor differences in dialogue, there are no other changes.
I found a couple of bugs I’d like to share. I only tried it once, but I was in the base menu, tried to promote Cole but it crashed the game, but other promotions worked fine, and every time I make it to Other Phase of chapter 14, the game crashes
I’ll give those a look! I have a good feeling why those happened (probably some typos on my part)
EDIT: Good news and bad news, the Chapter 14 crash was due to a typo, so that’s fixed up on my end. Bad news is it seems the promotion crash is an engine bug, so gotta wait for that to be fixed up. I’ll get an update out as soon as the engine’s updated!
Sounds good! and the promotion thing is probably something you’d want to fix anyways, but if it helps any, promoting him when not in the base works just fine
Hey guys! Version 0.10.1 of Cycle of Remorse is out to fix up the bugs Tyler found! (As well as bugs I found while waiting for certain engine bugs to be fixed. The engine bugs aren’t fixed yet, btw, i just found a workaround to patch them up.)
Most of the new changes is just new dialogue (and replacing placeholder dialogue that I missed somehow oop-). And there’s other adjustments here and there. As always, check the Changelog for more details and download link’s in the OP. Have fun!
Not a huge deal, but chapter 18 doesn’t end unless you kill the top right boss before talking to the left side boss

and I’m not sure if this part was on purpose or not, but it said I saved everyone and gave me a master seal and a red gem, even though I let one of the prisoners die
thanks for the report! i think i mistyped/completely forgot to add a condition to an if statement or something. i’ll put out an update at some point to address that (i’m busy doing a stat overhaul for the generic enemies at the moment, so it might be a bit until that gets fixed) and as for the other thing…

Alright, v0.10.2 is here! I made adjustments to units here and there, fixed up the things that Tyler pointed out, and (most importantly) the 2nd tier generic enemies now have more comparable stats to the player units, so you shouldn’t steamroll through them as easily as you could before! Hey hey, just a quick progress update! I’m starting work on Act 3 now! I’m gonna take it easy and really take my time with this last third of the game since, well, it’s the end! I wanna make sure its good and ready for its public release whenever that is. Anyway, here’s how Chapter 23’s looking so far

I’ve been taking it easy with continuing Act 3 at the moment and focusing on adding more content (by which i mean mostly more Support conversations) in preparation for dropping an update for FEE3 (whenever that’ll be this year).
