[FE8] The Last Royal [19chapter Complete Hack] [Also has another version T2S with split promos and more!]

Sometimes above lv30 the game glitches out and reduces levels alot. Best way I’ve found to avoid that is just use savestates from then on and ignote hard saving and that whole thing.

Besides that idk

got it. and fae is the only one that had reduced levels everyone else seems fine.

also you can visit this house again and again and it gives a gold gem so pretty neat if you want to buy stuff.(ch16)

oh man just finished the hack and first off the story was great I think this is one of the hacks that gives the complete story of how everything started and how everything ended the ending was a bit sad:( when aster (graham) dies.(maybe)
Units:
Atlas:the best Lord
serene:not the best but a reliable unit
cronus:ho ho boy you can just leave him in the open and he’ll destroy everything (the best assassin carried the whole party)
liam:I dont know I benched him
Graham:not the best pre-promote but still a good unit
Elliot:the best mage boi
fey:the best healer the only one who maxed out every stat including hp
alice:benched her at first but trained her in mid-game it was pretty easy(no it was hell) turned out to be a good unit.
arkas:oh man this man literally carried me through out the game,he’s the real jaegen 10/10
erika:benched her
nate:got benched
talon:I was thinking of benching him but after training himhe showed me he was worth it.
jaxon:I trained him to level 20 soldier but benched him cause ran out of master seals (kinda my fault as I didn’t know there were horse seals thus,I promoted the mages through the master seals).
cross:the best axe man he even one shoted whanrin.
olivia:a big help in the chapter she arrives but starts to fall back eventually.
flora:the best druid
thorn and braun:I only kept them in the back lines to prevent ambushes
violet:supported her with thorn
yenfay:he died to a random bishop with 1 crit :frowning:
I also missed the surprise units even when graham was on the field :frowning:
winter: a solid unit mostly kept her for rescuing
onyx:the black dragon prince a big help in the last chapters and was broken with his skill since the AI loves to attack at two range lol.

overall I love the hack but the only thing I would like to say is that:

you should really add difficulty options idk if it’s just me who found the hack hard (I always play hacks on normal difficulties so I guess it’s just me lol).

I’m glad you enjoyed it, I don’t think there’s a unit you get with Graham so you’re good lol.

TBH I didn’t feel like balancing different difficulty levels, so I just left it on one.

And some of your unit choices are interesting, I’m shocked at some people you benched and kept, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles, anyways thanks for playin

oh but im talking about the secret units on ch12 that provide lore?

Oooh his secret supports. TBH early drafts of the game Graham would turn to be the final boss as a last “test” of sorts to recognize Atlas powers, and you would need both supports to get that ending plus something else in a different chapter that got cut.

@Kelik
Edit: no it’s not, I decided against it and just added a flashback instead.

They aren’t anything crazy but, if you’d like to read the Supports…

so it’s not there now?

I finished your hack, was great and pretty fun, and not very difficult compared with other hacks where you get frustrated with the difficulty. Just one thing, my Fey got more than 100 HP, it is normal or a bug?, and one more bug, the final dragon freezes my game if he activates his ignore damage skill whit animations on.

Pd: sorry for my bad english, i’m from Spain.

I have to agree :joy:.

1.it isn’t a bug,the hp cap is 120.
2.

  • also no biggie if your english is bad,you don’t need to have good english just write what you want.(just don’t violate the rules).

oh dude I’m sorry but I saw the edit just now lol.also the wahanrin one I think I viewed it.

T2S file is corrupted can’t patch it.

Just double checking, are you applying the patch to a clean rom? And not to my already patched game.

Patch button Doesn’t appear.can’t unzip the file.

Checking again because I just tested it and it worked on a different system,
you download the T2S version which is a .rar file. Extract the .rar file,
then use a patcher like NUPS to apply the .ups file in the rar to the clean FE rom correct?

Just finished up the newest T2S version and thought I’d let you know how I got along!

Story
  • Overall, very well written. Sounds like authentic fire emblem most of the time, with some rare phrases coming across as too modern.
  • Thematically authentic too, with a up and coming Lord, plots, sacred treasures, betrayal, dragons/manaketes, oh my!
  • Great political back and forth, historical plots were interesting and revealed at the right time.
  • Very confusing at start as to who is who and remembering which faction they belong to (and how friendly each faction is). This isn’t helped by the fact that some factions are on both sides.
  • Got better fairly soon after as we meet the bigger families (Crystals, Silvers, Wingly) and can put faces to names + factions.
  • Story hits its stride half way through and only gets better as more twists are revealed.
  • Big fan of the ending, no secret evil cult or dark god, felt like the story ended where most FEs should, at 2/3 point.
  • Really liked the reveals at the end and seeing all the parts come together.
Characters
  • A smaller, tighter cast worked well. Helped keep the focus on what was important, I didn’t start forgetting characters existed.
  • Lots of fun support convos. Quality over quantity fore sure.
  • Liked working with the Zodiac leaders, they weren’t strangers by the end.
  • Liked that Atlas isn’t afraid to kill off the enemy if he thinks it necessary. Very different than other lords in that sense.
Gameplay
  • Starting chapters very heavy on the first few turns. Especially Fey’s map, you get zerg rushed but it’s very cruisy afterwards.
  • This got better as things progressed, more reinforcements arriving at certain “arenas” to keep things interesting as you got further in during the later chapters.
  • I know Ch5 gets a bad wrap, but it would have probably been fine if I hadn’t tried for those damn boots (and getting Jaxon to visit the arena before realising he already got the skill the map prior).
  • Was worried about such high growths overall (units would drop off really quick) but worked alright in the end. Enemy quality was varied enough that officers were a challenge for your regular crew while standard enemies could be handled by those you were training.
  • Siege tomes were a pain, especially two @ once. Many deaths when you get back-to-back 30-40 damage tomes in the same enemy phase. Maybe a silence staff or held item that attracts siege tomes could alleviate this.
Presentation
  • Love the colour palette swap, both on the map and on enemies. The more natural colours are really eye pleasing and gives the hack a unique visual identity. I know other hacks do this as well but this was a big bonus. I don’t know why you don’t advertise this more.
  • Brown fields are really unique aesthetic, haven’t seen before in any hack. Feels very pre-winter/barren in those areas.
  • Using FE4 sprites was funny as I’ve played the game. Made remembering names a bit tough.
Sound
  • Not much here, but some of the music got really repetitive as it didn’t change that much as the game progressed. I would have liked a bit of variance during maps.
Final Squad

Atlas final
ATLAS - SELIPH BUT WITH BALLS
Started off really, really strong. He was one of my best units come Ch5, and then fell off a bit as I trained everyone else. After promotion he was still really good initially but eventually needed a Younite scroll and crest as I got closer to endgame as he was falling off and I knew he’d be required.
Serene final
SERENE - TOTALLY NOT NANNA
One of the first units to hit 40, didn’t even cap Mag/Spd, 0/10 unit . Her pegasus promotion suited her perfectly and she has most of the features peg knights are usually famous for, including not hitting hard (I think that’s just light magic though, she used dark magic almost exclusively after promoting). Weirdly enough her pegasus landlocked in rain but flies otherwise?
Thorn final
THORN - IN THE ENEMIES SIDE
A very unique unit. One of the few units who actually wants sapphire swords & tsunami bows. Staff savant was good for utility and mobility, and healing levels you far faster than combat (for a frail unit). Was my fastest unit for most of the game, even though he didn’t see much combat.
Violet final
VIOLET - SHE DANCES I GUESS
Not much to say here. She dances and can avoid a combat or two in a pinch. All angelic robes went here. I’ve used the rally a couple of times when baiting a horde or to overcome a speed check in a few cases. Didn’t give her the first boots, but she got the second.
Fey final
FEY - GAME BREAKING VITALITY
HP bar broke as she got close to hitting the cap. Made good use of gem axes although primarily healed. Not much more to say here, she never died the entire run which is an achievement for an early game healer.
Elliot final
ELLIOT - HE’S NOT ARTHUR, HE’S NOT ARTHUR
The only anima user for a while, and probably your Rex(element) + Dire Thunder champion. He stuck almost exclusively to wind magic the whole way through so he could weaken jav/hand axe users and take out wyverns/pegasus knights. Dropped him a speedwing too. He could heal on promotion with was extremely helpful and a good source of exp when he didn’t need to fight.
Flora final
FLORA - HITS LIKE A TRUCK, NYOOMS LIKE A FERRARI
A good dark mage. Immensely useful upon join and just got better as she grew. Dark magic is really strong in this game and she could double a surprisingly large amount of enemies. She was tanky enough to survive a hit too.
Cross final
CROSS - WHAT I WAS WHEN HE KEPT MISSING
Cross has the same issue with the rest of the infantry specialists (Alice + Jaxon) in that they can’t see much combat early on as they aren’t bulky. Cross as well was liable to miss hits all game until the endgame where he was a monster with a killer axe. I never found him fast either, maybe because of the heavy axes he needed to use.
Jaxon final
JAXON - 70-10-70-70-10-70-10
The very lopsided growths didn’t seem like a problem at the start but that res growth became a liability when siege tomes started appearing. Still, he was the only infantry specialist that was moderately bulky and there’s a large selection of good lances for him to use. The arena skill was very unique and fit his backstory perfected. Very well done on that!
Alice final
ALICE - ADD 20% TO ENEMY HITRATE, NOW DODGES RELIABLY
I wanted Alice to work, badly. She got a Younite crest and pretty much all the energy rings I could find. But she just couldn’t take a hit and <50% hits landed far too often. She’s got perfect player phase ability thanks to her desperation effect but she was never dodgy enough on enemy phase, even against axe users. Always a few levels behind everyone else (with Cross and Jaxon), she came into her own at the very end with her prf and then overshot the rest as a killing machine (once again much like Cross and Jaxon).
Erika final
ERIKA - STATS EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME
This lady got more perfect levels ups than anyone besides Onyx but somehow fell off in the end? She was a monster in early game with the emerald lance and then used dark magic almost exclusively thereafter to avoid WTD. A very fun and unique unit, but not one that was very durable so she was more player phase than Flora.
Braun Final
BRAUN - THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND (OF BAD RNG)
The REAL MVP of the run. Since I benched Liam early on he was my dedicated tank and brave weapon user. Great growths and lived a ton since he took less hits in total. Admittedly not very good RNG since I gave him a Younite scroll and I think 2x crests. Pretty much all the dragonshields too. If he actually levelled STR he would have been monster but instead he was just a very good wall.
Olivia final
OLIVIA - NOT AS GOOD AS EVERYONE SAYS
Everyone’s favourite Olivia was impressive early on but fell off during the middle as I had other tanks to use and Mjolnir uses were dwindling. Going sage was a great idea since she had a workable magic stat and the other magic users were clearly going to cap MAG and didn’t need the boosters. Probably would have snowballed out of control if I favoured her more but I was too busy trying to get Alice up to par.
Onyx final
ONYX - AS GOOD AS EVERYONE SAYS
Yeah, he didn’t cap everything. Fun to use and a solid unit with Canto+. Had enough HP to survive a hit in endgame unlike his sister.
YenFay final
YEN’FAY - NOT A SAMURAI
Cronus wasn’t doubling or killing anything despite growths indicating otherwise so this beast of a man instantly swatted anything that flied (and could double regular enemies with the S ranked bow at base). He was extremely consist the entire playthrough and I was glad I picked up a spare S bow when he joined.

Bugs
  • Still had issues with freezing when Cronus retaliated at 1 range with a longbow (other bows were fine).
  • Final boss (you know the one) crashed the game when using their spell. Had to keep animations off for the final battle :disappointed_relieved:
Overall
  • Enjoyed this hack immensely! Was great all round experience and only the occasional bug or spelling error really affected the experience.
  • I don’t know if I’d replay it again since the cast is small I didn’t particularly want to try any of the characters I didn’t use, but class choices do add value here. I think most were in the classes I wanted, however the infantry lords or dragoon would have been neat to try.

Dear author, I really like your excellent revision and the story that fascinates me. I want to translate this revision into Chinese, so that more players can come to this work. Will you allow it?

I appreciate that! If you want to go for it, my Grammar isn’t the best so some issues might arise. Just lemme know if you have any questions.
