[FE8] Sacred Echoes [v1.1] [COMPLETE]

Thank you so much!

I just played through the original Echoes on 3DS for the first time (nearly a year after playing this de-make), so now I can really appreciate even more how much effort was spent improving the weaker points of the original game. The map design, additional writing, and all the other touches that were put in add so much depth to the game! Just wanted to echo (hehe) my praise for this masterpiece!

Great hack mate but I’m confused by a few points.

You can support everyone to everyone so lets say, faye reachs A support with both gray and tobin who does she end up with?

Also why does certain characters seem to stop accumulating support points without being able to have a support conversation. What’s up with that?

every character that has a paired ending only has one support chain that ends in a pair

characters gain support based on where you are in the story, so some B/A supports are locked behind story progression

I might’ve missed this, but does a units level reset on promotion? I’m just starting out, and I’m trying to figure out if it’s better to promote right away or wait a bit.

It’s usually better to early promote in my experience. Mainly because you can get juna fruit from the ruins and the officers/behemoths/decayed are really strong, even on normal mode. And yes, levels do go back to level 1 upon promoting

@HyperGammaSpaces Really inconsequential question, but is there a reason Dread Fighter is changed to Dreadknight here? “Dread Fighter” fits into the space allotted to class names just fine:

Fire Emblem The Seas of Time.emulator-3 Fire Emblem The Seas of Time.emulator-4

It spilled over in one specific place by 1 pixel and that bothered me lol

Haha fair

Just took note of the change in class name and finally decided to see for myself if there was a space limit reason for it!

I know this already kinda got answered but in Echoes, it’s always better to promote as soon as you’re able to because unlike most other Fire Emblem games, Echoes’s promotion gains only bring your character’s stats up to the base stats of the class they’re promoting into.

In other words, if a promoted class’s base speed is 10, and your unit has 12 speed before you promote, you will not gain any more speed from promotion. However, if your speed is, say, 2, you will shoot all the way up to 10. There’s no real downside to promotion because it can patch up any bad level ups you may have gotten and delaying your promotion will usually only make you miss out on potential promotion gains.

Basically, if you delay your promotion, you’re just reducing the amount of stats you’ll gain from promotion and you’re pretty much wasting exp that could be spent leveling up in the promoted class to get pretty much the same stats in the end unless you’re insanely lucky with your growths from level up.

I’m replaying this, beat 17C, and whoa, whoa, wait a second, where’s Hyas? Did I skip a cutscene I shouldn’t have?

This screenshot doesn’t explain much but, I know that you can miss getting Hyas if you don’t visit the village at 17C, mainly so if you let it get destroyed by the lone bandit that appears in the map. If you visited that village and still didn’t get him, then maybe you got a bug in there, in which case I recommend giving the save file to the creator of this project.

Oh, you have to actually visit the village for him? Whoops. Alright, then.

Hey peeps, huge fan of this hack! Only thing I’m confused on are the secret shops. Not looking for exact locations, but any hints would be awesome. Pretty sure I’ve missed at-least one or two because Im already at Chapter 24 on Celica’s route, and I don’t wanna put Palla/Catria on every single tile trying to scour the map, because it just ruins the gameplay experience for me. Hope some of you relate lol

I’m pretty sure there is only one in the game, and that is in Dolth’s keep. Should be obvious where it is if you look around. Anyone can reach it

you can also access them after you beat the game by going to the world map nodes

Thanks!

Also: How many units can you unlock in the post-game? Been grinding for more holy weapons and wondered if theres a target amount

Hmmm…not sure if i can name the post-game units completely, but there are 6 units that have a percent chance of being obtained. the chance is determined by your lead unit’s (Alm or Celica) luck stat, and the angel does increase this.

The secret shop location is on Celica’s Route Chapter 25. Near at Boss’ location and cracked wall.

Just bring a character with member card.

Sorry I can’t send screenshot of it. I hope it helps😀
