I browsed the thread, and the creator stated a few times that there’s no plans to make the Thabes Labyrinth for this hack. I understand if it can’t be done due to cartridge space issues or just the extra work needed for it, though the lack of a meaningful post-game is the only major flaw I can say Sacred Echoes has. There are bonus postgame units, but nowhere to really use them.
Yes, I know what he stated. That’s why I asked if he was going to add Thabes even after he said he wouldn’t. Besides, there’s not actual excuse not to do Thabes. Deity Device is divided into three different roms you have to patch due to how many chapters are there, and it’s still the best game I have played in this place, for example. Unless he doesn’t want to do it because of a lack of time, motivation or talent, in which case the dev could just say so and it would be completely respectable.
This is a fresh save in v1.1.2 (pitchforks cost 1k instead of being free) and the glitch still happens when I try to demote Genny in Lost Tree Scape even though the pitchfork works fine on other unit. Could you tell me how did you test this glitch so I can replicate it? I wonder if either Genny, the pitchfork or the chapter that is bugged.
AFAIK no, the “end turn” style support doesn’t work, also on another note, there’s a point where supports stop increasing due to story reasons, if you were wondering at some point
I’m not sure if its ever been covered anywhere in this thread but what are the rules regarding the usage of this hack’s portraits in other hacks? Is it a credit required thing or is it just not allowed?
Awesome Hack, probably one of my favorites of the whole site. Gone through it a few times and honestly, I’ll state flat out, I think its better made than the official Echoes.
IS has a problem with their old adaptations where they seem to like to update some parts of the game, but ludicrously cling to other parts that -also- needed updating.
For Echoes, that was its map layout, and you absolutely knocked that out of the park.
Anyways, I don’t usually comment on here much, but I was screwing around in FEBuilderGBA like I usually do with the hacks I like, and I found an interesting glitch.
Tatiana cannot use the Pitchfork reset Item. The game glitches out, her Face goes Black, and then it just derps and fails. The pitchfork is not consumed, but the game just kind of “Shrugs” and pretends it never happened. I’ve yet to find this happen with any other character, even on repeat pitchforks.
As I’m not playing this directly on an Emulator, but rather through a direct injection that I then install on my Homebrew 3DS, I don’t have anything resembling an error log I can provide, but this should be readily replicatable.
(Context: I do not edit code directly when I mess with Hacks in Builder, I just use the inbuilt editors, and I never touched Tatiana.)
Hey, big fan of this hack. The sprites are great and the soundtrack is a banger, and the revamped maps are far more enjoyable to play than the original.
With that said, I’ve run into some behavior around Chapter 8 that I’m not entirely sure about. I’m running the latest version as far as I know. I’ve promoted Fernand and successfully completed Chapter 7, but I didn’t receive a side story prompt for Chapter 7x. The world map red flag objective directs me to Zofia Castle, but I am unable to enter it. I’ve entered the Deliverance Hideout and have seen the dialogue between Lukas and Python, and am now in an “extra map” with terrors. Is chapter 7x intended to occur right after chapter 7, or would it occur once I’ve completed the extra map?
I’m running the game through VC injection, but I’ve dumped the save file through GodMode9 and have a save file that can be loaded into an emulator if necessary.
yep, i got mixed up lol. The order on the save files goes 7 → 8 → ex map → 7x. My only experience with GBA FE is binding blade, so i had a minor heart attack when my save file skipped to chapter 8 instead of stopping on chapter 7x. It’s all good now, looks like.
Excuse me, it might be because i’m kinda new to FE hacks but i don’t see any mention of this feature here. Each time my unit get a kill, surrounding unit kinda glowing up. What does it do?
Hello, love the romhack and having a lot of fun with it. A general question that anyone might know, are there level caps in this game? I have the 4 starting Villager characters and debating whether I go ahead and use the Mila Statue Class upgrade as soon as it is available or wait for them to get more stat increases via leveling. I am a person that level grinds, so the time commitment is not a variable for me. I just didn’t know whether if I got a Villager to level 10 (for easy math) does reclassing revert them to level 1 but in the new class and keep the increases or if they would be level 10 in the new class but losing overall stat increases.
