[FE8] [Complete] Fated Revelations v1.0 (02/28/2024)

Hello hello! I’ve simply commented on feu occasionally, but I never had much to say.

This is my first completed hack. It’s a gaiden of sorts set in Fates Revelation, and follows a small group of fates characters having a small adventure that doesn’t impact the main plot overall.

I did a quick playthrough [Ophelia Solo, on difficult] here are my notes

Ch2 system message system message shouldn’t auto end

If you want use my tome icon for Missiletainn

Some text/portraits display incorrectly

No preps in Ch2 was really effin’ annoying, not being able to reorganize
is really inconvenient, especially since I was doing an Ophelia solo
so I hacked in preps.

Same as above but for Soleil’s personal weapon not being allowed in convoy,
I didn’t hack that out.

Beruka is just kinda screwed if she flies the wrong way lol

Ophelia and Hellene battle convo needs more [A] autoscroll is bad.

Berserk lasting one turn makes the Restore extra useless as it is very easy to
bait Hellene with a single unit that can kill her into an area with no aggressive
enemies as such it’s not scary.

goddess Icon should give 4 luck like in fates.

Characters appearing even after death is funny.

Why is peri force deployed in the final map?

When you change archer battle animations make sure to install the patch that let’s them
use palettes, for some reason they use a special palette in vanilla.

The unit’s warping in on the final map make selecting units close to the wall
impossible. real reinforcement should be used, or the tile should be inaccessible
to player units

those units on the final map also suck because it means there is no safe space on the map
which sucks ass especially if your unit’s can’t handle them.

The enemy in general is way too strong on the last map My Ophelia that I rigged
levels for was able to survive decently well, even then she could die.

I quit at the last map because it was too bs to actually complete, keep in mind I was doing a solo but this maps issues would persist without that.

It’s based off the heroes design in GBA style but flipped to match fates tome weapon Icon.

I played this quite late at night so I didn’t document any specifics but I remember the ending of Ch 2 being a little confusing

I’ll mostly use this to say not all of what i said was criticism, some of it is just comments like this one.

That’s fine it’s basically a non-issue unless you do a solo run.

I see makes sense, I think using fast print would convey this better, I remember it being in normal speed.

True part of the reason writing and eventing FE:BOG sucks is because of this.

The shrine maiden enemies seemed to have a messed up palette I thought this might be because they replaced the archer.

I will say for what it was I did enjoy killing time with the project.
