Every Character as fegba

[Vesly]

Hello. This is a completely insane request, but I am adding every single playable fe character into one gba rom, so I thought I’d mention some of the ones I am missing in case anyone feels like making portraits.

It’s possible I just haven’t found the f2u mugs for some of these - organization is tough with hundreds of characters

I’ve been taking portraits from the graphics repo and adding them to the self randomizer.

Artist names are included in the descriptions.

I’m currently at 600ish playable characters with portraits for about 505 of them that you people shared. Nearly got 'em all.

Thanks for the amazing work you all do!

[Starshadow_Melody]

Best of luck, soldier.

[GamerGoblin81]

GOOD LORD.

I don’t have the art skills to assist you on this one, but I wish you all luck.

P. S. Isn’t Echoes just Gaiden with three more units?

[Vesly]

Yeah, I think so.

[VelvetKitsune]

I never released that Kaden I did? Huh. Weird. Thought I did-- well here you go.

[Garytop]

Isnt Cuan, Quan? He has a repo mug;

[Vesly]

I haven’t played fe4/5 and the non-standardized names have made it difficult. Thanks.

[cardcaph]

Touched up my old Shura. Should be good to go.

[Enjin]

Melia has every Gen 2 Character.

[AlemOwl]

Yeah, and alongside some Thracia reps.

[Rushless]

How would this even work?

[DATonDemand]

bro is such a coder, his list is in code language

[Vesly]

@Rushless

How would this even work?

See the gif I posted in the first post. The player selects which game they want characters from, or they select random for a mix from all the games.

If you’re asking how I did it, the answer is “it’s complicated”.

Edit: Updated the list of what’s missing. I found about 10 portraits that I was missing from Melia’s thread
But I may have missed a few, as I haven’t played fe4/5 and I don’t recognize who’s who.

[Celice]

I’ve always wanted to see this featured in one of the randomizers, mostly likely the GBA games since there is the most custom artwork for this era. It’s awesome to finally see it happening!

Male Alear by CavalryUnits
(Alternatively, you could use this version below edited by Oshawottplayer if you want your Alear more saturated)

Etie and Ivy by KingCrimson (might be low-quality compared to the rest, but they’re the ones that most immediately came to mind; if anyone has found better, post them below)

Kagetsu and Merrin by Tobiki

Goldmary by Stitch
(Alternatively, you could use this version below also by Stitch if you don’t want Goldmary to throw her hands)

Lindon by FEier

Claude by Melia and CranJam

Lorenz by Tobiki (note: this is based on his Three Hopes design, and thus, also post-time-skip which may be inconsistent with the rest, but it’s the one that most immediately came to mind; if anyone has found pre-time-skip and regular post-skip, post them below)

Delthea by RedBean courtesy of the CCC (posted both versions depending on which you need )

Saber by What-Is-An-Aubin courtesy of the CCC

Shanan by Melia (nowadays spelled Shannan)

Sharlow/Charlot, Safy, Machyua, and Diarmuid by Melia

Roddlevan by Melia (nowadays spelled Dalvin, yes similarly to Dalsin)

Cain (Thracia), Alva, and Robert by Dongus (located in the Unsorted section of the OC section of the Portrait Repo)

Now, for Asbel, there are two extremely high-quality portraits you could go for, which I’ll post below:

Here’s Melia’s if you want to stay consistent with the rest of the cast

And here are a myriad of Asbels done by Plant_Academy if you wanna get quirky (though yes, they don’t have mini mugs because that’s the Plant_Academy signature)

I hope this all helps and I wish you continued luck on your quest, valiant warrior

Edit: Completely forgot about Xavier, Misha, Asaello, and Lara

Xavier by TheGreatNothing (very low-quality compared to the rest, but it’s the one that most immediately came to mind; if anyone’s found better, post it below)

Misha by claire45

Asaello by Melia

And two Laras also by Melia (posting both depending on if you want her Thief fit or Dancer fit)

[Fringus]

@AthenaBaer

(very low-quality compared to the rest, but it’s the one that most immediately came to mind; if anyone’s found better, post it below)

this is such a fucking mean snipe for zero reason lol

[AthenaBaer]

I know, and I’m not sorry. It’s not a bad portrait in a vacuum, but compared to what else is getting put in, it is. When you have Melia and RedBean getting submitted, something like this is a mold-ridden loaf of bread by comparison.

[JasonGodwin7]

Can the FE games actually handle this many characters without bugs/crashing?

I heard a Fire Emblem 6 romhack forced you to send units home for free Spirit Dust to avoid bugs.

[AthenaBaer]

You’re talking about the FE6 remake, right? Well, that was made in FE8’s engine, and you can only have 50 playable characters in that game before units start to disappear from your roster. You can have a maximum of 63, but it involves ExModularSave and all that jazz.

[KaidenMelon]

sacred echoes portraits are F2U with credit so that should make everything set for the echoes side of things (if im wrong or this is outdated my bad, but im pretty sure of this)
