wait in later game, items gotta be discarded…wtf that’s…different. That’s when you have the most items
No, chapter 16 is a unique case—you’ll understand when you reach it.
Oh just Chapter 16 lol. My brain read that as Chapter 16 afterwards lol
Quality of life update! (v0.9)
The promotion screen has received a major aesthetic improvement, courtesy of @Sme—take a look:
Can’t wait for the eventual 1.0! Ive been interested in this hack since it showed up here, just waiting for that to dive in!
Is there a sequel to this?? Or like, did I miss another ending? Cause that ending was just…
The end sequence felt so rushed, and the explanation is just so nothing. Like there was no time to explain more so let’s just say this and let’s have it be the end of the game.Im trying not to spoil but man, I felt disappointed when I reached the epilogue, not on what the premise was in the end, but in what it could have been. It felt like it like an afterthought right before we reached the finale and then the explanation for the ending was even worse. It also felt like that in other ways, regarding the first character you play as. Could have had him more fleshed out in terms of overall impact on the rest of the characters directly related to him, like Lizandra, his own son and his nephew. Seemed like his decision barely surprised anybody or even affected anyone at all. He felt extremely disposable for someone you play as, and was hinted to be a very big figure for the first half of the game, he got cut off right there and there after the crazy witch got him to do what she wanted, and that’s that, nobody ever says more about him, not even his own family. Im not sure about the story, didnt feel like it was that good aside from some of the betrayals, but again, weird points, like taking out the king offscreen and all. It moved way too fast, and ended in such a poor explanation. Either way, I finished it, but would probably wont play it again.
I ran into a bug on Chap. 17, is that I defeated all the bosses in that chapter level and i’m still stuck on it because it wasn’t completed even though there isn’t anymore enemies to fight.
This screenshot shows that Angus is invisible after he’s defeated when I beaten Maria as the first boss and I don’t understand what’s wrong and what happened because the chapter objective wasn’t completed I also beaten Clyde as the last boss I faced and the next chapter level didn’t proceed.
this should really be blurred out with a spoiler warning. I just got a full on huge spoiler to the story.
Hey !
I’ve been wanting to ask, are there plans to add supports ?
@ghostyeyez, @Liemile, as of the current version (v0.91), just under half (30 of 66) of the support pairings are in the game. The remaining pairings will be including in the final v1.0 release. I originally planned to get v1.0 out for this month, but I underestimated how long writing all of these supports would actually take… sometime around February now seems more likely—my apologies.
@zerius, Yes, this bug seemed to happen when you kill Angus or Maria before Clyde. This is now fixed in v0.91—please update the patch. Note that you will have to restart the chapter for the fix to work, my apologies.
Is there a reward for saving everyone in chapter 1?
Ah! Yes, they were supposed to give you the items in their inventory if you saved them—the fighter gives you the halberd, and the old man was supposed to give you the elixir. However, it seems there was a bug where he gave you the value of the elixir (3,000 gold), rather than the elixir itself. This is fixed now, my apologies.
Oh no, it’s just that I was unable to save everyone in the chapter, I hadn’t even noticed there was a bug there . Welp, at least I got a halberd.
Hey, is there a guide for supports? The in-game guide says that supports build on deployment, but I have deployed Angus, his wife, his son and his nephew in every chapter, yet somehow Angus and Brandon only have a C support. Actually, Dawson and Brandon still don’t have an A support (I’m in chapter 11). Are they bugged or do I have to wait even more for a mere C pairing?
There is no support guide right now, but supports can build at four different speeds:
- Slow—4 chapters per support
- Medium—3 chapters per support
- Fast—2 chapters per support
- Very Fast—1 chapter per support
Also, certain pairings unlock the C support faster than the B and A support. Jane x Lydia, for example, is set to very fast for the C support, but slow for the B and A support.
Brandon x Angus is set to fast for all supports.
As for Brandon x Dawson, that pairing is a unique case. To unlock it, you must get an A support between Brandon and Angus, which will then unlock a talk conversation that gives Brandon and Dawson an instant A support on chapter 10.
But that is impossible, isn’t it? I deployed Brandon and Angus every chapter until Angus leaves the party, yet I only achieved rank C with them. If supports are based on deployment and they had to get to A rank before chapter 10, then how come I never unlocked their B support, much less their A support?
It is definitely possible. Perhaps you hit the 5 support conversation cap with Angus? I suspect you’ve been spoiled by most hacks, which tend to remove the cap.
Super excited for the release! It actually lines up since I’m in the middle of a few hacks at the moment and have a backlog to get through. Looking forward to it!
SO THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED! Yes, in my game Angus has a B support with his wife and another with Dawson, then a C support with Brandon, making it impossible to reach A with neither. Man, I just thought you would have removed the cap since every character has only 3 pairings. Well, now that I know how weirdly do you get the Angus - Dawson A support, I guess it must have been very important. Gotta repeat the entire game.
If you intend to seek it, I should just clarify how to unlock the reward(s):
When Angus leaves, if all three of Brandon, Dawson, and Lysandra are alive, a secret event will unlock at the start of chapter 10. He will give a reward depending on who he had an A support with:
- With Dawson, Dawson will inherit the daunt skill from Angus
- With Brandon, it will unlock the talk conversation between him and Dawson on chapter 10 that gives them an instant A support
- With Lysandra, she will receive a special ring that grants the miracle skill to its holder
Obviously you can only get one of these three rewards, so choose wisely.
