Monks are easily the most boring class in gba. Light Mages feel much better I think

Seconded. Monks suck.
There’s no reason why they can’t just be Mages with the same statline. They only exist because for some reason FE7 thought unpromoted light magic was a niche that needed to be fulfilled.

I dislike monks because the class personally sucks as its low power AND low power weapons like they just suck in general they hardly can do anything.

not a good one, imo, tomes just being tomes feels like some flavor was lost. I’m glad it sort of came back for 3h.

Dark and light tomes still exist even in the newer games, so nothing significant was lost. Light and dark were just removed as separate ranks.

Still feels like Awakening’s magic is missing something compared to 8, the dark tomes being locked to certain classes(and Shadowgift) feels more artificial and arbitrary to me, and just… less distinct.

Wyverns.
Not Wyvern Riders, not Wyvern Lords, not Wyvern Knights. I specifically mean the ridiculously high movement wild “Wyvern” class from the desert chapter in Fire Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow.
Gosh, I hated that chapter…

Bad FE classes are symptoms of redundancy the Skill System should have been used to solve.
Imagine a game with character-specific Skill Trees. You don’t decide if Ryoma promotes to Swordmaster or reclasses to Knight and promotes to General, Ryoma remains a Swordmaster and you make more interesting choices about what upgrades he does and doesn’t have.
