Uhhh… generally I don’t use units I think are bad, but people apparently think Stefan and Mia are bad in FE9 and I use them all the time. Stefan has never once died on me and I send him into the thick of battle all the time, and Mia I give Adept to complement Vantage and no one can even launch an attack on her. (Can also do the same in reverse with Soren or Zihark which usually plays out pretty well, but the game only gives you one Vantage Scroll, so I just put it on Soren so I have one each of physical and magical Adept+Vantage units.)
I’ve also used Rolf? Apparently he counts as bad? IDK As far as archers go, I thought he did better than a number in the series. Maybe I’ve gone mad.
Sacred Stones apparently Kyle and Forde are seen as bad (ig I can understand when you put them next to Seth or Franz [mostly Seth], but still solid units imo). I use both. On that subject I’ve also seen someone say Innes was bad, so ig he’s another. He’s turned out better than Neimi for me every time (and I’ve played FE8 a lot; maybe I’m just lucky with his RNG, or unlucky with Neimi’s).
Gen 1 Lewyn in FE4 was solid enough for me. Better than some of the cavalry imo. (Oh god, I can feel the snipers taking aim.)

Stefan is actually pretty good but almost impossible to find if you don’t know where to look. I think that’s considered by many who rank him. And it’s a fair point imo.

Lorenz isn’t bad, he has like A rank lances or Swords depending on his appearance, and Horseman Lorenz is supposedly good.

He is mediocare, Horseman + Armsscroll lets him use parthia and one shot dracos near endgame, but he gets doubled and dies if he misses. Alternatively you can actually turn him into a sorcerer and give him an angelic robe, that way he will BARELY survive one of the ballista’s at endgame, should you choose not to skip it. His stats are really not the best though

Beruka actually fills a very good niche that Camilla does not fill, and that is actually having defense for once. She’s a flying general.

I like using her as a Berserker too. Also Fliers always have something to do. Gameplaywise Camilla is a pretty strong unit to be compared to in all three games (and Warriors as well lol).
Does Maerchen from TRS count as a FE character?
