Then again, I feel the chapter 16x and the postgame scratches that itch well enough
Besides, Ecksesachs & Dark Stone were sometimes hard to bear precisely when I had to kill characters I loved like Lilina, Guinivere or Gerik . I’d be really sad if I had to kill Phobos or Pheme as the bad guys

Just started this. So far so good. Currently on chapter 5(?)
Got the bandit trio and now on the outdoors map with the ice spear boss. Lost Hecate in the previous map.
Got spoiled on quite a couple of story twists already but I’m sure it’s just a small part of the whole story, I still feel like I’m in the dark.
Apate and Kairos rock.

I will add, I seem to have picked the right time to focus on this specific game. The latest patch dropped last monday I think? Seeing the big changes that each update appears to have brought, late adopters like me are pretty comfy with it

The character attacked’s sprite looks a lot like Marth so either a Princess Lament extravaganza (where this is a fakeout/bizarro Marth) or a Dark Stone overhaul (where we play as the vilains) for an Archanea setting this time? Or something else entirely? Either way, in both situations, we’re eating really good

Hmmm, well the dark druid sprite doesn’t have Nergal’s color palette, so probably not another bad guys hack.
Judging on what you said by “going back to your roots”, I think that this is a reimagining of your very first rom hack The Princess’ Lament, that or a custom campaign inspired by it.

Well, I will say one thing: It’s not a vanilla setting. I didn’t miss the constraints and limitations of working with vanilla settings when I was making Hag, and I’m afraid I’m not about to go back now lol
Still, Samy’s not that far off. Again, it’s still in the early stages, but I’ll share more in time.

I could imagine myself making a “Hag in White but Evil” hack, I’ll doubt I’ll actually do it, because
A) permission, I am just some random guy.
B) a full game, even if I decide to make it only 10 chapters, is a full game, with a lot of work.
C) Even if I got permission I fear I am not good enough writing wise to do it justice. Like hag in white is a masterfully written game.
Spoiler Thoughts
I assume there will be no healing, like while Dolus exists I feel like he won’t be playable and if he is he will only be playable for a short time, and our probably protagonist will only have unlock for a long time.
But I think that could be a fun gameplay premise of sorts, like that would be a way to balance our favorite miss evil Lord, while she is Sigurd strong, she can’t do everything due to only having a set amount of HP per map. Perhaps I can even make poison incredibly common (perhaps renaming poison to bleeding?) to ensure that all physical weapons at least deal some damage.
Although turning miss evil armor lord into the protagonist would also mean Kyra and co stepping into the background for a while, similar to how she went her own path, which I wouldn’t mind, it would just mean that original content is required. Unless she is a lord who temporarily leaves the party, though I am not sure who could be a second lord who is closer among the heroes path.
Still, it’s fun to think about. Hag in White but Evil (instead of 1 healer you get none.)

This text will be blurred in blurred the postgame after updating my patch, there are a few graphical errors with a few units. I don’t know why its these 5. Orlaith, Plato, and team Simeon were unrecruited, so maybe that has to do with it, but that doesnt explain Lopez and Pheme. Selecting them fixes the sprites, as does de-selecting them.
