Each parent is tied with a child unit, right? But there are some units who are only born if certain couples get together. And yes, those characters have children tied to them as well, as well as pairing-exclusive children in some cases.

That could work too very interesting but later on when you get smaller and smaller armies that would be the point where okay well these are the only two that can actually pair up

FE 8 but your starting party is the monsters from the chapter ancient horrors and after defeating the protagonists you go on to accidentally save the world. or worse you just die and the credits roll.

Like it starts off as normal fire Emblem 8 just normally up until the first X chapter so that would be ephraim’s chapter and all the mechanics of Advanced Wars would be ported over so instead of you invading the castle with four guys you and being the castle with an army of Infantry and then for the rest of the game it’s just Advanced Wars. (Not in Lt)

Terrible rom hack idea:
You force the player into A WHOLE HOUR of exploring an underground apocalypse shelter and doing stupid menial tasks for asshole characters and then right after a civil war caused by a child’s understanding of politics where everyone dies the whole building explodes because the moron responsible for literally everything going to shit hit the self destruct button then THE GAME CRASHES AND YOUR SAVE CORRUPTS so you start over and after 2 HOURS of sidequests and the game having a 75% crash chance after every door opened, while trying to get the good guy route this time, it turns out it all ends the exact same way with the same moron hitting the same button for an even dumber reason and then you leave the Vault and then the game crashes anyway and your save file is corrupted again.
People are too harsh on Fallout The Frontier and not harsh enough on Fallout New California.
