Here’s my entry. It’s my first time participating in something like this, so I don’t know if I’m doing this right.
As long as you DM Darrman your entry, you’re good ![]()
Finished my entry as well!
It’s Fire Emblem’s 35th anniversary, Easter Sunday, and the last day before the deadline for SIGURD. This is your approximately 24-hour warning. If you haven’t already, getting someone to playtest your entry is highly recommended. I’ve seen a lot of people have been looking to test their entries, so I am hopeful they all received testing and improvements.
There will be no extensions given. I anticipate a good amount of submissions in addition to the entries already received. I look forward to seeing what everyone has created, and good luck to all entrants.
Took me a while to actually decide on entering this competition, so here what I put together over the last week-and-a-half:
A 1-chapter hack that opens in media res as if it were just another chapter in a standard, full-length hack.
Seems to be your standard FE plot, somewhat cliche, but as the battle for the Imperial Capital of Haeris rages, it seems all is not as it appears…
Features
- TearRing Saga-style statlines
- Skip most narration (by saving at the prep screen)
- Tough bosses, especially on Hard
- Enemies with very good LCK stats
- Twists, plays, and exploits on classic FE mechanics and cliches
- Nasty ambushes and traps to keep you thinking on your feet
Setting and Backstory
The continent of Grasvar has been at war for the last three years. Following a series of border skirmishes, Emperor Darius, the “Mad Emperor” of Drafen, launched a full-scale invasion of the northern lands. Alongside the great statesman and military genius, Chancellor Hindenburg, the Imperial Drafen Army swept across the land and crushed its opposition with ease.
The Kingdom of Varna did not sit idle, however, and mobilized its army to face Drafen, and under Crown Prince Edwin’s leadership, were able to fight Drafen into a stalemate along its border, while the northern lands were subjugated one by one.
Yet in these troubling times, Lord Dietrich, son of the late Duke Ulrich of Bale, learns that the nearby costal region of Rolym has come under a sudden Imperial assault from the sea, and leads his companions to the rescue of Rolym’s Margrave…
After a long and brutal campaign, Lord Dietrich now finds himself as the Supreme Commander of the Holy League, an alliance of states, both large and small, who oppose the Drafen Empire. Though inexperienced in this high role, he nonetheless leads the League forwards, as they confront the last of Drafen’s forces in the Imperial Capital, Haeris.
The final battle that will decide who rules Grasvar has begun…

Playtesting is appreciated, and I would prefer to accept feedback via PMs. I’m aware of the short amount of time left until the deadline, but I’ll be active in reviewing any feedback I get.
One last thing: Do not try to nationalize Anna & Co. to fund your war effort!
I still want to update my entry later after the deadline, but for now I hope you all enjoy this non-standard crossover hack!
I made a SIGURD. It’s called Last Refuge. Credits are in the gdrive link.
I might amend this post later with screenshots
My entry for SIGURD: The Warden’s Woes. It’s a prison break except you’re the warden trying to stop the bad guys from escaping! I’ve also published the GitHub repo for this submission.

My entry for SIGURD: No Grave Unturned
It’s a game where you aim to retrieve a body with a group of undying forces. The hit system is modified - either you hit, or you hit harder - no missing allowed.
I might catch some bugs here and there and thus update the file in the dropbox - already immediately caught a bug due to purging unused space for a smaller file size.
Time is up!
The provisional entry count for SIGURD is 16. While not as many as in CELICA, this is still a respectable turnout. Over the next few weeks, the judges will play and review every entry. The list of entries can be found below: contact me immediately if your entry is missing.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted an entry, helped playtest an entry, or otherwise helped contribute to this contest. Please play as many chapters as you want and leave feedback, but I do ask to keep it in spoiler tags to avoid influencing the judges.
Good luck to everyone in the competition! I have been playing through the SIGURD entries while I still have time and pretty much every one is great in their own way, the quality of the contest has definitely gone up since when it began as MARTH.
I have created a tier list maker for the contest, much like one had been made for CELICA, if anyone else playing through the entries wants to rank them (I myself still have a bunch to try out). Two of the entries have to my knowledge not been posted on the forum yet, so I gave them stand-in images for now, to be replaced later.
EDIT: Alright, now everyone is in the tier list!
I just played through your Star Wars entry and had a blast playing it.
Spoiler for SIGURD judges
Loved the effort put into map visuals and the jedi being insanely powerful, but still needing the clones to fight off melee units. Made for a really good time.
The focus on high range combat was also quite need. I don’t know if no battle anims was a time constraint thing, but given the high range, I didn’t really mind.
My entry for the Sigurd project, in concert with @Rexacuse:
A Radiant Dawn inspired defend chapter, seeking to capture the uphill battle vibes of chapters like Elincia’s Gambit and 3-13, with a tragic story about family, loss, and grief. Check the thread for more details!
Thank you very much for playing it!
Response
Yes, no animations on units was a time constraint thing plus a skill thing - I don’t at all feel confident in my graphics skills enough to do not one, but three or four SW animations, in a month. Plus, it kinda works out - as you said, it works well with “everyone being a ballista” as I had someone describe the experience, and I deliberately left animations in for the two Jedi and for the Sith boss, so if you decide to have them fight in the end, you suddenly see battle animations and it has a cinematic vibe.
I’m very happy (and also honored lol) that you had a lot of fun with the entry!
Now that the SIGURD entries are all released, should the list of entries be added to the main topic, so its easier to find?
