I have an idea I wanted to do for one of these for a long while, but I gotta make new assets for it first :laughing:

After giving it some thought, I would like to be a judge for SIGURD.

Hello everyone. It’s been a week, and I’m glad to see there’s been a good amount of interest.

I’ll be picking the judges over the weekend, so if you’re still thinking about being a judge post soon. I’ll take expressions of interest up to the 23rd: I’ll confirm the judges a few days after that to allow for response times.

I’m interested in judging. CELICA definitely piqued my interest, and I’d love the opportunity to try some new supremely intellectual games.

The concept I started working on looks to be too ambitious for a month’s time, at least with the skills I have now. I might come back to it someday, but I think at this point I’m better off focusing on my main project to have something ready by FEE3. I’ll still be checking out the submissions though, good luck to everyone involved!

Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in being a judge: it’s encouraging to see so many people interested in judging the contest. After some consideration, I have selected three people to serve as my fellow judges.

They are @BandanaSplitzzz , @Fringus , and @Electric_Serge !

They, like me, will all play through and give their views on each submission. There’s still plenty of time left until the deadline: it’s not too late to start thinking up ideas.

Here goes nothing.

Four troublemakers think they have gotten away with their hideous crimes. Satisfied, they look for another victim on the road to further gratify their malicious tendencies. Unfortunately for them, however, the person that they stumble upon turns out to be a whole lot more than they can handle.

Introductory poem

A hero, a thief, a knight, and a priest go to a tavern
The owner is fearless, yet what does it matter?

The hero steals gold
the thief takes a drink
The knight thrusts his lance
and there’s no time to think

For before it is over
and they are ready to leave
The priest begs forgiveness
yet grants no retrieve

“This man he was murdered
t’was all for naught!”
Cried a waitress in anguish
as she lowered to squat

“Mourn not this craven
or you’ll cry out in pain
For if you don’t stay silent
you’ll meet him again!”

As they then move to find
their next perfect crime
The new victim of theirs
begins raising hairs

For he is not a man
he is no man at all
He fights not with sword
but with pencil so small

The four they are vicious
they boast and they lie
They say, “Time for stitches
pay up or die!”

The fools they know nothing
now vengeance has come
For there will be no mercy
as this story’s begun

It could use some more testing but it should be in an halfway complete state.

The deadline is just over a week away. It’s not too late to start making a chapter if you haven’t already. I’ve already received several submissions, which is a good sign for what is to come. There will be no extensions, so have your entries submitted by 11:59pm UTC+1 on the 20th of April.
