Show me your hack's class tree!

Promoted “Arch Knight” yet another hacker falls victim to Project Naga’s lies…

Great, I’ll surely play and give you a feedback later.

I took this tree for my thing and added a armor mage class that starts with Anima and Staves and obtained Dark and Light via promo. A baellista that serves as a jagen exclusive class (a per/mother figure spider).
I also added in an exclusive class that transforms the dancer into a class that can do sword and staffs but the main gimmick is being able to form supports of a powerful super affinity that gives the best bonuses.

I also made a tactician (anima) that after two promotions became a legate (anima, bow, staff).

And for the hack I work on right now I remove promotion (4 chapter game) but each class has a physical weapon type and a magical one. Giving mono weapon classes imbue so even they use the magic stat.

Let’s call them Extrovert Knights

And I thought I was going too far with the S naming when I named my weapon types Stab, Slash, and Smash.

I love it.

Have you considered making Cavaliers into Centaurs? Then they’d be Social Drinkers!

Don’t feel like going into insane detail, its pretty self explanatory, basically when you promote, you either get a skill, or a weapon type. Nothing else, as the game is meant to be somewhat grand with the number of units on both sides, so mechanics need to be somewhat simpler.

I also have boats in this list, but i forgot how they were supposed to work, but i guess nowadays id just base their roles off Advance Wars boats, but without promotions. Oh and also Artillery such as Catapults, Trebuchets & Cannons.

Sadly it’s not a hack I’ve made yet because I’m already spread thin in my work :pensive:
One day in the future I plan on it though!

Does it count as a class tree if you can switch back and forth?

I suppose I now have something with an unique class tree.
Although it is a very simple thing, just five characters who can promote into three classes each.

Archer → Beacon / Ranger / Sniper
Boxer → Slasher / Muscle / Boxer
Fighter → Hero / Berserker / Warrior
Cleric → Maid / Mage Knight / Beacon
Supplier → Wyvern Kn. / Paladin / Recruit

INFO ON CLASSES:
Beacon is an armored class with axe, bow, anima and staff
Boxer is a class that only fists and has an ability that makes all weapons brave
Slasher is Boxer but he can use swords
Muscle is a mono Fist class with crit bonus and all
If you “Repromote” into Boxer you gain 20 HP
Maid is a class that while they can use anima and staffs, they trade stat gains for the ability to have a lot of seal skills. (Edit: I changed it to have promotion gains, but to obtain all seal skills they will have to reach level 5 and it is more that you give up the weapon variety of Beacon and the movement of Mage Knight.)
Supplier is a lance only class with the Supply ability.
Recruit is a super trainee, so basically a strong mono lance class in this.

That game is still work in progress.

It has classes and a tree so probably yes

Where did you get those arrow sprites?

They’re the movement arrow sprites. Just extracted them from the game.

How’d you do that?

FEBuilder → Image Editors → System Icon

I haven’t started hacking this one, but I’ve thinking about the characters n’ stuff.

So, this is a bit of a “thought experiment” Class Tree. I find myself getting bored of the typical trappings that Fire Emblem always uses, both the typical stat spreads of classes as well as the typical promotion paths (Ex: Archer → Sniper), so I wanted to challenge myself to come up with something which hit the main base class needs while changing up the promoted classes that they changed into, where possible (as well as splitting the promotion items to be “fitting” per class and its new promotion).

I tried to make a visual chart but, woof, it took so long to do just 1 class and its promotion that it’d take far too long to do it for all of them, so a text block is what it’ll be:

Explanation

For making this class tree I wanted to make the promotion for them feel a bit fairer , lore wise and also for balancing reasons. For example I made Mercenary promote to a different class over Ranger is that I think that class would fit better for Archers or Bow mounted classes because mercenary becoming promoted to Sentinel an armored knight would fit.

New Classes

I made new classes that I wanted to bring up for my plans on making a fangame.

Sentinel: The Sentinel is an armored unit that uses Swords and Lances they have great attack and defenses but mid speed. Counterpart to the Hero class.

Swordmancer: Swordmancer is a magic sword user that uses Swords , they have great power in magic and have different speed similar to the Swordmaster.
The point on using the Swordmancer is for the usage of magic swords such as Light Brand , Wind Sword and other magic swords.

Oracle: The Oracle is a light magic user that uses Light magic to fight, they have good speed and resistance plus getting a crit bonus makes them be able to land more crits with light magic.

Sorcerer: The Sorcerer is a Dark magic user that uses Dark and Staves, they’re great in Magic and can be a bit slow but with a bit of bulk in it.

Outrider: The Outrider is an axe mounted unit that uses only Axes, strong in Attack and alright in speed making them powerful attackers. (Male only)

Strategist: The Strategist is a mounted unit that uses Light and Staves. They can help build support to your units, their offense aren’t great but their resistance is what sells it for them. (Valkyrie rename)

Templar: The Templar is a mounted unit that uses Lance and Staves. These unit are okay to use offensive but better to use them as defense. (Female only)

Arbalest: The Arbalest is a flier class that can use Lance and Bows to attack. They have alright attack and are fast fliers but at the cost of defense. (Male only)

Valkyrie: The Valkyrie is a female flier class that can use Sword , Lance and staves. Their stats are similar to the Falcoknight but can also have good stats in magic for increasing staff healing and range of other staves. (Female only)
Harrier: The Harrier is a mage flier class unit the can use Lance and Anima. They’re attacks aren’t that great but Magic is the best part of what they can do Harriers have good speed but not good enough to compete the Arbalest.

Mage Lord: The Mage lord is a magic unit that can fight Physically and Magically using Swords and Anima. The mage lord has great stats in both Attack and Magic with decent defenses can excel well at using magic swords.
