Hello, when I killed the last enemy in chapter 9, the chapter didn’t end. I tried resetting the emulator, ending my turn, reloading my last save in the chapter, but it still didn’t conclude.

I figured out the cause of the bug and fixed it. You might wanna redownload the patch and load a savestate to before you defeated Gilgamesh’s first phase.
Just gonna like this because hack was funny.

Would you reccommend hard mode for a first playthrough? What does hard mode entail?

Hard mode is usually for those who find Normal mode too easy. It also comes with a special surprise at the very start of the game.
Would I recommend it for a first playthrough? If you seek a challenge, yes.

So i have finished it and buy was it a wild, fun ride. I am very glad i played it, it will just take me a while to accomodate for less wild hacks now i guess due to how powerful the player army is. Thankfully it is balanced by enemy army also being powerful so the game while not very hard is far from braindead. Basically if you like having crazy strong tools, this is hack for you. I wont say details, but basically ff Seth from FE8 would be in this game (you know, basically best unit in FE GBA), he would be benched quickly.
I also liked the story which was simple and cheesy and basically “vehicle” to see more and more characters from other universes pop up in this setting, but it works very well for that. I also like the contrast of things getting more and more out there while everybody in story treats it as its serious and there is nothing weird about something that is obviously a reference in players eyes. The only issues were Amy (she just says “placeholder text”, at least in v24. I assume its unfinished) and Manok + Reggie support since they have no dialogue and it would be funny to actually have some convo between them. In general there are not many supports and they are short, but i liked them anyway so no problem.
Gameplay wise i see no problem, you just have to be attuned to how overpowered both sides are and you enjoy it to the fullest. Theres also weapon triangle buff so you have to really pay attention to it, at least on early maps. The gimmicks keep maps fresh till the end too, even if some feel of small consequences like lasers in chapter 24. At this point 10/20 dmg is like nothing, maybe make them inflict status ailments instead like freeze? (then again they also hit enemies… and that could freeze half of enemy army lol).
Theres also tons of new weapons and new weapon type (guns) which are interesting since they ignore most of defences but on the other hand you scale so hard they might be weak. Not sure, havent tested it, but at least idea is cool and original.
I also liked the humour, clearly my style but i think others will like it too. I mean just look at screenshots and judge for yourself.
There were also few bugs, particularly that map where weather changes a lot didnt wanted to work properly and froze like 4-5 times. If not for savestates i would be very angry at this…
Overall im glad i played this hack, it was very cool from start to finish!

On chapter 3. Story is a bit bland but it’s not too bad. Playing on hard mode.
One thing I recognized from the first chapter already was. PLANTS VS ZOMBIES!!
The themes go so well.
I hope the plot thickens as I play further

Don’t worry, the story gradually escalates later on. Earlygame script is a bit rough as it was mostly written all the way back in 2021. :')

Also is there hints as to where the secret shops are in the game? I’m not at that point yet but it would be good to know.
Also one other thing. Is there any average unit limit for how many can be deployed? I want to stay making my team.

Gaiden Requirements
4x: visit the house near spawn in ch4
5x: visit the house with the chicken rancher that gives you free nuggets
7x: recruit the thief
10x: get Elowyn to 30 or more HP
12x: recruit the swordmaster
15x: get Rosalyn to B rank bows
20x: find all ten growth boosters throughout the game since chapter 6
22x: unlocked automatically
