New fire emblem game announced!

So fortune’s weave just got announced and i am making this post for discussion of the first trailer
It seems to be a prequel to three houses

Never played 3 houses. Also I don’t really like route splits, because it locks you out of characters. so usually I like to pick a random route

To clebrate you should re open the pme! now.

It’s not a remake, but I really didn’t want to return to fodlan. Looks good though so far, hopefully they improve on 3H mechanics to make it a better time

I really like what they shows in terms of settings, the kinda classic antiquity vibes feels quite fresh. Big changes from what we are used to

And yeah it seems like a prequel of 3H very far in the past, I guess it’s during the early days of the world after

Spoiler

Sothis destroyed 99% of humanity and then rebuilt everything. So humanity is still ruled by the Nabateans, and those who slither in the dark are already plotting their revenge

The only weird things is that there is hero’s relics already, but we see a nabatean ruling over humans? So that’s confusing

Finally a new fire emblem game is announced just almost three years after Engage.

I’m really happy a new game is coming, I also already like the art direction much better than both 3H and Engage. But to be honest, I’m a bit sad it isn’t a remake and I’m kinda tired of Fodlan, its lore and the battalion gimmicks

FE17 looks like a fire FE can’t believe it took 6 years :star_struck:

This might also be one of the first fe games in a while without an avatar not including remakes

Huh, so that’s what grown up Sothis looks like.
Is it only for Switch 2 or is it gonna be available on switch 1? I’m.

I can’t really say I’m excited. Bronze Age isn’t my favourite aesthetic, and I’m not wild about much of the character design I saw from that quick silent skim.

Probably doesn’t help that I have approximately zero interest in the Nabateans.

watch them turn it into RotTK again somehow >_>

I rewatched the trailer a second time and I just realized there’s a girl with a futuristic taser gun fighting gunkata style. I really don’t vibe with these Sci-Fi elements at all…

Although i will say the title Fortune’s Weave is kind of weird if you asked me.

I think its probably work in progress title they havent made a game logo yet

Yeah, that name looks like a name for a FE romhack. No offense tho.

Anyways, it might be too soon to think if it’s going to be any good, but I’m going to be optimistic and say it will turn out fine.

I believe it is a sequel. And Edelgard won.

‘The years were long’, says Sothis. It means time has passed, and she seems visibly older. We see bone weapons, crests, and all of the things that can only exist after. The emperor seems to be at least a part dragon.

Which, brings me to another conclusion. It seems that Edelgard won.

I believe that the blue hair guy is the Avatar, though.

The colosseum is oddly Hellenistic, no? This reminds me of the Parcae (the Moirai, or Fates), who would weave one’s birth, alotted life and death (Nona/Clotho, Decima/Lachesis and Morta/Atropos/Aesa).

So… it’s their way of trying to say “Fire Emblem: Fates” again? Very funny.

Looks almost Roman. And who is based on Rome? Adrestia.

Adrestia was actually a title of the goddess Nemesis. The more you know!

I too believe it’s a sequel.

Byleth ascended to power alongside whoever (idk enough about the 3H endings) dismantled the game’s power structure.

Now a few hundred (a thousand?) years later the hero’s relics are strewn about and the descendants of the FE3H characters and themes continue on. Ie. I get a lot of “liberated fodlan” vibes from it. (If the continent is even still called that)

The more you know, indeed! Such a nice reference.
