This isn’t possible. We see Crests and Divine Weapons. Sothis was the first dragon to be murdered into one.
iirc byleth’s hair goes back to blue post-Crimson Flower.

Yeah into the sword of the creator, but think again bc, there are people with crest whose nabatean equivalent are still alive, alongside that sothis was stated as the first bc she was murdered violently as a act of nemesis’s war, whose to stay before that, dead nabateans were used to make relics with the people’s knowledge, how else would nemesis even know how to craft sothis’s skeleton into a sword if there weren’t any examples beforehand on how to make it
The blond guy seems connected to mercedes and jeritza, yet her bears a sword similar to blutgang, alongside that lamine did not have a crest weapon but only the rafail gem
I hate that it took 6 years for a new game after 3H. IS should make Fire Emblem games way more often. I thought we were getting one in 2023, but I guess that was cope.

I don’t thinks it is a sequel, with the clothes and classes we see it would means that the medieval/early-modern societies of 3H would have reverted back to a kinda bronze age, which would mean a kinda post-apo settings very far in the future, it’s not impossible but I would be surprised.
Like we have some kinds of dino-chocobo, animals that don’t exist in 3H, so they are probably animals that went extinct between this game and 3H.
It’s more probable that it is in the past. For the exact point it’s hard to know. Must be after the killing of sothis, and the nabatean’s genocide, since we see crest and the bone weapons. But not too much after that, with the antiquity vibes, the spirit of sothis not in her child form, and there is an unknown nabatean openly ruling over the colosseum. Also we see chariot, which is a very bronze age war machine.

Well, let’s not think that technology cannot regress. Plus, maybe we’re not in Fódlan at all? There are different lands we hear of, and the prevalence of darker-skinned characters (a phenotype that we rarely see in 3H) could imply we’re somewhere else.

yea technology can regress, but to me the setting looks a bit too colorful for something post-apo.
Like, here it looks more like a mediteranean settings, with inspirations from antiquity civilizations of this region (notably roman and greeks). But indeed it can be in another region of this world than Fodlan, would also explain the presence of the chocobos, even though I would be surprised that it’s not a past version of Adrestrian region
