Maybe with this one you could use Hackbox extend to implement the other arm, like you did Walhart’s horns. Just an idea

Unfortunately even if you use the hackbox extension patch, it probably wouldn’t fit both Asugi’s arms as per my example down here;
The only way I can picture fitting both arms up is to change the perspective so he is side on like Rennac or something.
So I out of the Awakening reincarnation trio, I like Caeldori’s implementation the most, but only if she is Severa/Selena’s daughter, because it feels natural and their special dialogues in their paralogue and supports are really nice.
So its kind of obvious that the next portrait to be completed is going to be Rhajat to complete the reincarnation trio, so the next one after that to guess will be Nohrian Male that is going to be done after her.

The 2nd Awakening reincarnation trio. Of the three I find Caeldori the least egregious (well only if Severa/Selena is the mother). Both Cordelia and Caeldori have pretty intense hair volume, but its more obvious on Caeldori because of her pose exposing more of the hair volume than Cordelia’s. I am mixed on how I’ve shaded her hair, I am torn between being a bit more detailed in the dark parts, but Kozaki’s style doesnt usually use heavy lines for hair. But I suppose the 3DS has the advantage of being able to use way more colours in a portrait than a GBA. If I were to revisit this one, it’d probably be the hair and the headband.

You know when I think about it, I think it was mentioned in the grand timeline of Fire Emblem, Fates predates Awakening (probably even Shadow Dragon, Gaiden, Mystery and Tellius Sagas too). So does that make these trio reincarnations or previous incarnations of Gaius, Cordelia and Tharja?
Anyway here is another fun little comparison to my previous Awakening portraits for this trio too.
I think I’m over halfway of all of the non generic Fates portraits too at this point.

FE 14 Fates - Rhajat
The 3rd and final Awakening reincarnation character… (or are they reincarnations?). I wasn’t sure I wanted to do her Fates pose and was indecisive on it so I flipped a coin and decided to do her heroes pose instead. Its odd, her Fates pose is obviously trying to emulate Tharja’s pose, but then her poses in all other references I could find had her behavior and personality look more like her Heroes pose where she is more of a flaunter and show off. Overall I like how this turned out. I did have to sack one hair tone compared to Tharja because she has more clothing colour variance, but I think it still turned out well. I also decided to have an alt without the arm as well in case people prefer it without.

This one turned out pretty quick, was fun to work with such limitations again. Challenging sprites can be enjoyable, although some extreme ones can also be a turn off. Besides the Kanas and Morgans I think Percy stands out as being the other actually a child unit. I wonder why the deeprealms work the way they do with character ages. He is also coincidentally the only natural male wyvern rider this game. Although I suppose Gerome was that case in Awakening too.
So the next character is going to be a Hoshidan Male, so lets see how we go with that.

FE 14 Fates - Percy
The last Wyvern rider, the boy the Masked Fates character. Percy stands out being the only deep realms child being you know, aged as a child (although not 100% on Velouria and Selkie). Kind of odd, but you know child characters makes for variance in design I guess. Percy also suffers Arthur’s colour limitations, but I think I got away with it pretty well here. I copied Arthur’s palette but I did brighten it a little bit compared to Arthur and I think it worked out. I’m not sure there is much I could do without having access to more colours, but that I suppose that is fate.

Knowing Harold Hutchins Fire Emblem’s luck, he probably accidentally left his baby in the Baby Microwave for too long

So you guess right with Hisame. Fun fact apparently he was originally going to be Hinata’s twin brother and a gen 1 samurai. But was pushed back to being a gen 2 character because Gen 1 already had 3 sword masters in Ryoma, Hinata and Hana. I can kind of see it in their character designs and it does fit the differing personalities amongst the two.

FE 14 Fates - Hisame
Hisame is another interesting character who doesn’t face the person he is speaking to. He and Saizo both have that in common amongst Hoshido, with Benny being the one in Nohr who doesn’t. Kagero sorta doesn’t but she does turn her head towards the person she is speaking to. This means his face shading is a bit different compared to others. Otherwise he was pretty easy to complete. I did cheat a little and use my Hinata’s armour and clothing as a basis for Hisame’s, so the main complex part was adjusting for Hisame’s body and doing his hand and sword handle.

Gary is currently doing all of the child characters of fates right now. I hope when they are done he’ll do capturable bosses next.

George got it right this time, this is the last one snuck in before Easter hits. I’ll be a bit busy with other things so we’ll see if I can fit another sprite in next week. Otherwise I probably won’t be able to post/work on anything till the week after next.
We’re not that far away from capturable bosses, with 7 gen 2 done, there is only 14 left.
The next character will be a female Hoshidan.

FE 14 Fates - Soleil
Soleil, the last mercenary for Nohr. Surprisingly despite the large number of colours of clothing she has, her colour palette worked out well. Its a combination of Laslow’s and Olivia’s, which is what she is basically. Its cool that she gets her grandmother’s headband whereas Laslow keeps her dancer metal belt circle things. Overall, I’m pretty happy with how everything turned out. The weakest point I personally feel is her left shoulder plate thing and her shoulder plate. I did consider doing her arm and longsword, but that would have to come later and require the hackbox extension patch.
