Fire Emblem: Scions of Kings

Good to see you and your project are back!

It’s good to be back. But there’s a huge learning curve for me with figuring out how to use FEBuilder and relearning what I forgot from the long hiatus.

And looking at FE8 with FEBuilder and it looks like there’s a lot I could potentially do with it and I’m now considering switching over to FE8. Only problem is implementing the tactician into the hack as I could in FE7. I’ve seen a post about being able to bring up the name input screen as well as using the branch event to make the tactician. But I’m not sure how I would go about using that to get a tactician in the game. And then there’s setting the affinity for the tactician as well.

My next step is probably to figure out how to implement a tactician into FE8 and if that is doable, I could switch to hacking FE8 without much issue. Either that, or get rid of the playable tactician altogether. Although I feel that’s a last option sort of deal.

I believe Kirb has already added the tactician feature to FE8. Dunno if its public or avaliable for FEB though.

Yeah I briefly looked through the post Kirb made about that. I need to learn more about hacking in order to understand how it’s done.

Oh sorry, I wasn’t clear on which post I was referring to. I meant the post you made where you posted a video of how you had a youtube video that showed you using the split route event to make a working tactician in FE8.

That’s a lovely battle frame!

Thank you! Updated the title screen.

I’ve also been working on setting up the tactician for FE8. Just need to figure out how to make the split path menu have more than 5 text strings so that I can list all 7 affinities when choosing the tactician’s affinity. If I can’t figure that out. I’ll think I can just add additional event to add another split menu to pop up if the affinity you want is not in the first section of the split path menu.

hola soy nuevo miembro pero se de fire emblem juge una hack y el tuyo se ve genial queria saber como sera su dificulta de nivel

un preguntar como llamaras la promosion de lord de qui y algo mas cuantos lord va ver en el hack

I was following this for a while now, but is this dead? I’d hate it if it was. It seemed really cool.

I know I’m so very late to replying but thank you! I’ve updated it since then cause I found that the colour scheme is too plain for my liking. So this is the new and improved version.

I don’t know much Spanish so I’m answering based on google translate. Hopefully this answers what you were asking. I’m aiming for the difficulty of the hack to be in the middle so that it’s not too challenging to play.

I’m not sure what to call the promotion lords yet. But I’m planning to have roughly 5 lords.

Nope not dead, just slow as hell with updates.

A very late update because motivation is very fickle to me and likes to come and go whenever it wants. Plus 2020 is a massive flaming garbage dump. I’m about 60% done with carrying the prologue chapter from FE7 to FE8.

I’ve updated the world map to a nicer version and will include the “Magvel” world map introduction events.

I was stuck on figuring out how to assign weapon levels to the tactician character based on player choice. So it took some time, but my workaround is that the tactician will have a rank level of “E” for all weapon types and will be given a bronze weapon to level up the weapon of choice. The weapons other than the bronze weapons that are originally E rank will be bumped up to D to avoid the issue of the tactician being able to wield all weapon types regardless of player choice. EDIT: I fixed the issue with the help of knabepicer by using the set unit status patch. So I would like to thank them for letting me know that this was a thing.

I’ve also been redoing the tactician animations to make it more unique and not just a reskin. So that will take some time to do.

However, I’ve been tweaking the pegasus knight animations in order to have a larger range of palette choices.

Here is the new version of Zemira’s palette. I’ve also included the new palette for the falcon knight class as well. I’m going to edit the animations for both classes in order to have a public release in the future so that everyone can have the opportunity to colour their pegasus the way they wanted without the restraint of having the pegasus’s mane be stuck on yellow.

I’m also working on the ulfos (wolf) animation so that a transformation animation is included. I’m aiming to make it be similar to the manaketes’ animations in the original fire emblem games. I will also make that public once I finish it and have it working in my hack.
