Managed to beat this game today, great hack, good story, decent difficulty, like it wasn’t ridiculously hard but there were a few tough chapters, probably one of my fave romhacks to be honest.
This was my final party in Endgame 3
Aderyn before promotion was good enough, but after promotion she was awesome, probably could’ve soloed endgame if I gave her the powerful relics but I decided not to.
Arguably the MVP of my run that was not named Aderyn, I gave him the Fire Emblem item and the Gigant Axe and he proved nearly invincible, that portrait though…
I’ll be honest I didn’t really give Penny enough levels compared to others, but she did prove to be a useful staffbot throughout.
George was awesome really, sure he started off rather weak, but after a few levels, he quickly became one of my strongest units.
I might be wrong, but I’m sure archers got buffed in this hack compared to vanilla games, Derrick was my go-to bow user, really good.
I’m not sure on Nathaniel, I like using Swordmasters but sometimes he just wouldnt crit when I needed him to haha. Surprisingly tanky with that 22 Def too.
Lucas could have achieved more if the Paladin caps were abit higher, maybe I should’ve promoted him to Great Knight? Idk.
Stephen was probably my main Lance user, though there was Lucas too, really good ‘generic’ soldier.
Ella practically nuked everything that came her way, and having a second staff user besides Penny meant she proved really useful in combat and healing.
Despite not capping anything, Ivan critted all the time, and I have to say, the Berserker crit animation is kinda funny, especially if he somehow misses.
I probably didn’t need to bring Simon, but since he was a somewhat important character I did anyway.
Hermit did his job as a Gotoh, he was a fun unit to use thanks to his ‘extra turn’ skill.
I think I’ll end up replaying and use different characters next time, there were so many I wanted to use but ended up not using because there just wasn’t space in my party.
Great job overall, next time I replay it I’ll probably LP it on my youtube channel

Hey, FE hack fan (one among many lol), but I’m something of a professional writer. Story, supports, endings… all those are my favorite parts of a FE. It all started with Seth and Eirika’s A support which changed the entire tone of the game for me in a splendid way. I was quite sad their ending was just another happy one as I expected a solid tear jerker or something other. Regardless, if you want to, I’d be more than happy to help in that category.
April marks the 2 year anniversary of the start of J&P’s development.
That’s kinda wack to think about.

I found an error, the skill loyalty doesn’t work, as you can see in those images, Lucas takes the same damage being next to Aderyn than being far from Aderyn, and those 10 avo/hit is because charisma of Aderyn.
I don’t know if this is intentional, but i left Lucas in that tile (see the image below) in chapter 8 and used a vulnerary and he suddenly got the skill breath of life.
So I’ve played the hack about 3 times now and as much as i enjoy it I can’t beat it. For some reason on chapter 15 no matter what I do when I escape the first part of the cutsceen starts and then it freezes and I can’t get past it. I’m not sure if I’m the only one with this problem but it sucks because I enjoy the hack a lot but after 3 playthroughs with the same issue it just makes me want to stop.

From what I’ve seen, the crash at the end of Chapter 15 is a known bug? As soon as the first bit of dialogue kicks in, mash the Start button. This should skip the entire cutscene, and therefore the crash as well.

Just wrapped up my playthrough today, and holy Naga this was an exceptional hack. I’ve tried playing a few in the past, but J&P was the first that I’ve seen through to the end. Excellent work MrGreen and every one else involved.
Here’s my endgame team!
Aderyn
Move over Sigrud, I thought Aderyn was decent at first, but after she promoted and got Exordium, there was no stopping her. Gave her critical focus and a Melinda support to get her to base 70+crit, and I regret nothing.
Leon
Absolute chad of this game. Wouldn’t be GBA without an op merc.
Liss
I love that you can get a female fighter in this! We’ll just pretend that Charolette never happened… great custom spritework, and hits like a truck. Easily one of my favorite units
Penny
Not your average staffbot, she can dodge for days and she can easily get kills with anima tomes. My go to healer
Kara
GBA has shaky dark mages, Sophia, Canas and Knoll are pretty underwhelming. But wow Kara did not disappoint! Dark Knight is a dope class.
Ivan, scourge of the Empire
Ice Dragons got ya down? Phantoms got you on the run? Can’t cross bodies of water? No Problem. Ivan was the mvp of this run, though I sadly had to ditch Dan. His defenses were low but with the right axe he can one shot just about anyone.
Nestor
Give him a Fili Shield and watch him tank every physical unit in the game, although he might need a secret book and a speedwing if you want him to get kills.
Phineas
An awesome sprite, but sadly a bit underwhelming himself. Maybe its cause the low paladin caps, but I couldn’t get him to hit those even. Could use a bit of a boost on his growths
Melinda
Aderyns best 'friend" and destroyer of mages. Her power is pretty bad, so she’ll rely on crits or effective damage for kills. Fast af and good utility though.
Hermit
Legally Distinct Gotoh. 10/10
Valentyn
I wasnt a huge fan of Roderick, so getting this absolute unit was a delight. Really cool personal skill, and can deflect silver weapons like cardboard.
Ella
I was excited to build up Ella from zero to hero, but she never quite made it there. She did cap out mag and res early but everything else is pretty awful. I was also confused on how countermagic was calculated, it rarely came up anyway.
All in all, this was a great experience and I would love to iron man it in the future. I was a bit disappointed when I missed out on the chapter 15 promotion due to the glitch, seems like it was a pretty important cutscene. Also I would love to seemore supports, the only ones I found that werent the default FE8 were Aderyn+Melinda/Theodora. I’m also interested to see those rumored post game trial maps.

So it took a bit but I finished my playthrough of this game. I did a lunatic run and over all it was pretty hard in some chapters others felt a bit rough to paly with all the enemy reinforcements. A few of the bosses had some scary stats and skills but manage to push through it all. Story was pretty solid and that music choice was probably some of the best sound tracks I heard in a rom hack. Especially the last map. Very solid game and over all great work. Now with that here was my final team and a small unit review of how I think they did in my playthrough.
Aderyn just cleaned up house like nothing. Solid unit over all.
There was a point where Melinda started to fall behind because of her lack luster str. I gave her one str ring and that just fixed everything.
Ella was probably one of the most solid units i had. If i ever had a magic problem she’s just use her personal skill and beat the boss for me.
Penny is over all one of my favorite units. She was a dodge bot. I never saw her get hit and if i did it was due to some kind of breaker skill or class skill.
In my opinion one of the best classes in the game goes to malig knight and nestor raw str growth on top of a luna tome made him one of the scariest units i had in my army.
Over all Gorge was a solid unit. Well rounded stats decent skills but tact arms thrift on with any of the rare weapons you find and i almost never had to give this man a new weapon for most of the game.
Tabitha very solid unit. I need an archer and picked her over Derick for better speed growth. I though I’d lose out on damage but nope she just went hard. Also bow breaker made her my best option agents ranges units.
Theodora despite being one of my weaker units still did her part. Solid bases stats and decent growths. What made her great was an extra healer and her weapons ranks. Desperation also came in clutch a few times.
Lucas was one of my first units to start capping off and he just stayed consistent. Scared stones paladin may not be as broken as binding blade but still a solid class in ever game.
God teddy was one of my favorite units. His damage output was crazy high and he was just over all a lot of fun. I gave him a sword slayer and he did like 83 damage to a hero. That’s probably one of my favorite things about him.
So I wanted a hero in leon but I never got that last master seal which sucked but Trevor came in as the true hero. He had solid bases and over all okay stat growths but I just got so blessed with his level ups that he went crazy. End of the day it was nice to have my favorite class in my army. (also if he is a castlevania reference since his counter part is Richter that makes him so much better in my eyes.)
And last but not least the chad himself, Stephen. I dunno what this man was on but I didn’t feed him one stat boosting item other than a body ring. He just curb stomped everything in his path.

I have the exact same problem as you. When I beat chapter 15 it freezes and I have no idea why or how to fix it. I use John GBA lite as emulator on my android phone
Press the start button (or spam click it) as soon as the cutscene starts, it’s always been a bug and theres yet to be a fix for it.
I tried many times and it is not working. I think it has to be that I play on my phone and I use John lite emulator because when I copy the file and put on my mac I can play the game with another emulator but the save is gone. This game is so good I hope there will be a way to fix it !
You need to spam click the start button as soon as you finish chapter, the screen will go black and should go to the save screen even though you will skip the entire cutscene.
I have been doing that for hours and it does not work… As soon as my last unit espaces I push start and then the black screen appears and I continue tu push for minutes but nothing change and I am still left with the black screen
I think the one thing you might be missing is that there is a bit of dialogue text (you can hear the text beeps in the background lol) where your given the Heaven Seal for Aderyn, go through that and it should work if not I don’t really know what else.
when the black screen appears the music disappears and there no text sound… I’m so angry to get this bug I really loved this game but I don’t see a way to cure it
Strange you don’t get text sound then, sorry I can’t suggest anything else, I’m playing through it right now up to 9x so once I get to 15 I’ll tell you how I got past the bug.
I think my problem is the emulator, which one are you using ? pc or phone ?
