rip Project of the Several Weeks status
It’s been a long time since I played it, but I remember the chapter where you recruit Nissa being too hard. I know many rewards are optional, but it’s all laid out in such a way that one feels bad for not getting more than 2 in one playthrough. In my case I recruited Krystal and killed the upper boss to get the promo item, and ignored all the chests and the valuable gem on the bottom boss. I tried to go for all of them at once many times, with about ten resets, but it doesn’t really seem possible. I think all sidegoals should be attainable in a single playthrough, but the amount and strength of enemies prevented that.
The fog of war maps are abundant and quite, quite punishing. Phineas’s map is guilty of having a lot of enemies with pretty strong skills and stats. A promoted doog with adept and five phantoms just outside of your starting area? AND two eyeballs with shadowshot nearby? Talk about overkill. Thank god for casual mode, because I lost two of my best units in one fell swoop thanks to that, and I couldn’t have done anything about it. (There’s always the argument to deploy more thieves or use more torches, but I want all the firepower I can get.) I remember Nestor’s map to be quite punishing as well, specially over the northern lake. That one warranted a bunch of resets.
Amarok also needs more uses. Say, 25 or 30. As far as I know, it’s not buyable, and it runs out so fast I never use it.
On the bright side, I really enjoyed the boat chapter. I felt it was the Nissa chapter done right; all sidegoals were reasonably attainable (though if memory serves I was just about to lose someone when I crit the western boss to death to save the day, so maybe he’s a bit busted).
Despite all the negativity, I generally enjoy this hack. I only criticize it because it could be even better. I can’t speak for the following chapters because I haven’t played them yet. All of this post is based not on the latest release, but on the one previous to that. Normal mode, no reverse.
Yeah, the fog maps are some of my regrets, since my stance on fog maps has since changed to be extremely opposed to them.
And it’s not all negativity with J&P, my observations show that its popular amongst casual players, but more criticized by higher level players, which isn’t a bad thing per se since not all hacks need to be super duper insane, but it is something to note.
Thanks author for this awesome hack. I really enjoy it. Wanna point out a small issue I just had. I know its not a bug, but this shouldn’t have happened. Just make monster weapon not stealable xd
It’s it a bug or normal? I can’t see the support level on the page “Weapon and Support level”, It just shows the weapon level.
Je suis bloqué à la fin du chap 15 le jeu fait que friz comment je fais pour continuer le jeu ? Sa fait presque deux jour que ça ne marche pas et que je recommence le chapitre j’aimerais beaucoup continuer le jeu alors si je pouvais avoir de l’aide je vous remercie (au fête je suis sur téléphone je sais pas si c’est ça la cause du problème mais voilà)
The Chapter 15 freeze has been a well-known issue since the hack came out but i’ve never found the fix. The best solution is to:
- Make a savestate before finishing the chapter.
- Mash start as fast as you can during the end event.
- If you hear the text sound on a black screen, you’re good.
Le gel du chapitre 15 est un problème bien connu depuis la sortie du hack, mais je n’ai jamais trouvé le correctif. La meilleure solution est de:
- Faites un état de sauvegarde avant de terminer le chapitre.
- La purée démarre aussi vite que possible pendant l’événement de fin.
- Si vous entendez le son du texte sur un écran noir, tout va bien.
(J’ai dû traduire cela par machine, désolé s’il y a des erreurs)
Merci des conseils malheureusement cela ne marche toujours pas mais je n’abandonne pas ça fais déjà presque 2h que j’y suis mais pas grave je continue ou sinon je recommence le jeu sur un autre emulateur

I’m in the chapter 10 and i really have fun, one of the best romhack i had play with the Last Promise !
Just started playing (Really liking it so far btw), and i found a glitch (?) i think.
In chapter 2, where you get Penny, Teddy, Jake and George, i did two of Melinda’s C supports, one with Aderyn, and one with Leon.
The one with Aderyn went without issue, but when i tried to get hers with Leon, the dialogue was from Franz and Gilliam’s C support in Sacred Stones.
Yeah only 2 units have written supports, but tbh, writing supports is a slog so i don’t see them ever being done lol.
Do you have any more updates planned for this?

Really enjoying this hack so far, I’m up to Ch 21 and I noticed a couple of small errors about Chapters 10 and 13.
Both Helga and Diane I think don’t have death quotes, the tactics menu on Chapter 13 still says that Helga has her bolting tome, I think that needs to corrected.
Also about the Ch 15 freeze I had a look in FEBuilder and noticed that the end event for that chapter is basically empty, and only shows that it goes to the next chapter without any dialogue, maybe the event hasn’t been inserted properly?
Besides that, great job with this hack!
Edit: Forgot to mention that I think the bosses on Ch 12 don’t have death quotes either.
Huh, that answers a lot. The event displays normally in FEBuilder on my end, so maybe some inexplicable error is causing patched copies to wipe it out, but the game still thinks it exists, so it freezes trying to read a wiped-out event. That’s just my guess tho.
That’s odd then, I played through it before on an older version and it worked just fine, but then after that it just freezes after I beat it.
