I can’t believe someone actually picked my man Ruben over Lamia. Way to go.
Yeah, Arcardo does have a really nice design. Good hair.

A rom with no other patches installed, this includes a translation since FE6 only had a JP release. Usually a vanilla FE6 rom will have (JP) in the file name as an indicator that it is the original JP rom and not one with a translation patch preinstalled. As previously explained no one here can help you in finding a rom as that goes against the site’s rules.
Ok 2:30 pm MST for Tick Saga to continue see you all there!
Here we go! Can tick carry us through the Western Isles?
My goodness! This hack was really enjoyable and GOOD! Congrats on making this hack fun with the damn limitations FEBuilder has to offer in FE6!
You clearly had a good vision of Zephiel’s character and just pushed it even further throughout the hack. All I have to say is poor Roy, but hey, we’re playing as the bad guys.
I have to say, the combat units feel very weird to use. Most units from Ch1-8x feel hard to use or see very little utility besides from some exceptions: Galle, Arcado and Roatz, Tick, Windham, Raigh, Erik… They felt useless, not bulky enough to survive or really slow.
On the other side, characters like Idunn, Perez, Sigune, Randy, Kel (or Gel), Damas and pretty much any healer is broken and definetly don’t need a nerf (I mean it, don’t change them).
You made some critical changes to some maps; especially the gaiden maps. Truly appreciate what you made to the water temple, volcano map and adding new threats to all them, like giving the divine weapons on the bosses.
Now, on gameplay view, the buff to the WExp was necessary thank you very much but you could’ve made it 2 for hitting and killing; nothing wrong with the standard 1 for hitting and 2 for killing.
Staff rank is still a pain in the ass to grind to at least C rank, let alone A or S in Sages and Druids. I don’t know if you can buff the WEXP for staves but it would be really good.
The new classes are good and offer variety in the units to not feel the same on promotion or just another unit of the same class.
My rating for the hack is 9/10, because how you treated our boy. but I won’t deny the story is good for the price of his misery.
Also I must say, im so glad Morgan followed in the footsteps of your ironmans and became the true best character, he’s truly one of the bosses of all time
Thank you for your kind words and feedback!
Balance is probably a bit weird, yeah. I’m not super good at it. If the hack’s any fun at all I think I’m happy with that, to be honest.
On the topic of staff WEXP, I think it’s fine for sages and druids to have difficulty reaching high staff ranks. It gives staff-centric units a niche. Still, duly noted.
lol it’s rare to find someone out in the wild who’s read the old ironman LPs. Then again, you’ve been following me in Serenes for a while so I suppose I shouldn’t be so surprised haha.
I was definitely remembering some fond memories when I was making Morgan into Best Boy. He might not have a cute couple for besties this time, but he’s every bit as pathetically endearing as in the old days.
Oh god, the second you called it the old ironman lps im reminded that its been 6 years and ive gone from middle school to college in this time.
I now see Roderick as a nostalgic figure that I miss
I was entering college when I started the first one. Had enough time to drop out, start a different thing, finish it, get my first job and finish that too. Crazy to think about. A lot of things have changed since then. I’m rather ashamed of some parts of those old things, but all things considered, I also have plenty of fond memories from them.
Like good ol’ Rody. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise, he’s still dead.
Any clue why my units are always blue and enemies red no matter which patch i apply?
I tested both ups files multiple times on mGBA.
Looks like I made a mistake in the last update. Try redownloading now, I think it should be fixed.
It works now, very nice.
Rody is always watching, one day he will return from the ashes
Just curious with the flame seals to promote jahn/ ein are they found in the sands like where you find items like a silver card, talismans etc or are they in the shop? Also is there multiple available?
One replaces the Sophia guiding ring, now obtained by the recruitable enemy in chapter 14.
A second one is stealable from a manakete in chapter 14x.
You can also purchase them (at a pretty bad price) in the chapter 16 secret shop.
Ah cool and where is this recruitable enemy btw
You find them in a corner of the map, near the speedwing. Just recruit them then bring them to the usual Sophia ring area.
And I’m guessing you need all the gaidens to get the “true ending”. Because keeping mordred alive is Definitly a hassle lol
Yeah, that hasn’t been changed. You need all the gaidens for the true ending.
I was very skeptical of this at first, but gave it a try and it’s quite fun. Congrats on the hack it’s a very funny experience to play with Zephiel with scrub like stats and putting major generals in the battle front.
I am a bit concerned though with the balance of gameplay and feel, cause these major threatening figures starting as they are, so low level and with weak stats ends up being needed for the balance in difficult for the game, but, at the same time, I fear for how they will end up, Zephiel specially, who’s supposed to be a juggernaut of power, levelling up 1skl per lv up… maybe they’ll have huge promo gains?
Also, It’s been a few years since I played FE6 so and I’m still at chapter 4 (I forgot how sluggish the game can be, even though it’s still fun, each map takes so much time), but when do we get battle preps? Also, you mention that the roster starts to get bloated after some point it can cause glitches, do we have an option to dispatch some units, or we have to purposefully let them perish?
thank you for the fun hack.
