someone else is doing FE7, forgot who
@Nergalslament @RasburyLaneCreator I think @Enjin said he and his team was in the process of making a FE7 Bad Guys Hack
Enjin has been a bit MIA as of late. Not sure about the other 2 though
idk if you know about this but in chapter 20 I think it was (queen of white dunes) I noticed a door that wouldn’t open on the bottom part of the map so my assassin couldn’t get through and unlock the door. then, I opened the rom in febuilder to see what the problem was and I think the issue is that you have doors and chests that have completion flags. now, this in itself isn’t a big problem but you need to be careful of what completion flag ID you use for events such as these because if two events share the same completion flag ID then the second event won’t allow you to trigger it because the completion flag is already on. also FYI, doors and chest events don’t even require completion flags in the first place so idek why you gave them those but like I said, not even a problem unless they share a completion flag
It’s been a while but iirc the completion flags existed for a reason? I think maybe I were using them to spawn reinforcements or something. Either way, yeah, I probably made a mistake there. Oh well.
Every playable character in the hack is a boss. Murray.
I’m a bit disappointed there are no battle conversation between Colm and Bazba .
v1.23 released!
- Fixed an issue where Boudicca would leave the party in chapter 29 under certain circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where two doors shared completion flags in chapter 20.
- Fixed the janky Rennac/L’Arachel event.
- Fixed some glitchy tutorial events that remained in easy mode.
- Fixed Boudicca not having assigned animations for the compact axe.
- Fixed some conversations not having prompts in the chapter intro of chapter 26.
- Fixed Morva not having the correct boss theme, which was incorrectly assigned to Artur. He gets to keep it as well because I think it’s funny.
- Switched a few map themes around for slightly more variety.
It’s been a while, huh? Don’t get too excited, it’s not that great of an update. I didn’t have much to do this morning, and now that I’m more or less done with Hag in White, I decided to go back and fix a few of the bugs that were still unaccounted for in Dark Stone. Better late than never, I guess.
Started playing this today, it’s a really neat hack! The random Monk in Chapter 3 scared me, I thought he was gonna be a boss cuz of the cutscene but the Purge tome was even worse ![]()
Also I love the dialogue in the houses and villages where they purposefully give you bad advice
Forged this account so I can use the power of words. Very fun hack! Been enjoying my time with it, feels good to construct weapons of mass destruction, load them up with weapons, and send them out to nuke the entire enemy force.
Chapter 26 has had me stuck for a while now (mostly because it feels like a massive difficulty spike (or maybe that’s just me being bad at managing my units)), but I’m sure I’ll get through it soon. Throwing Bazba at my problems has yet to fail me, so surely he can do it [sound of 12 mages rapidly approaching my location]
Shoutout to the villager who just gets sad you weren’t killed getting to her village, had me laughing a lot more than it should (probably because I did die several times trying).
Hey, question, if you finish chapter 24 (the one just after retaking renais castle), and don’t kill Tana, does Syrene still attack you in chapter 25 ? Or is she replaced by Tana ?
Tana comes back later if you don’t kill her, much like the other bosses that can be spared. However, it is not in chapter 25, which always sees Syrene facing off against you with Vidofnir.
I’m on chapter 9 now, good lord is this hack tough. I really should not have played on Hard but here I am with my beautiful team
I’ve been slow in making progress cuz 1) I’ve had to reset every chapter probably 8 or 9 times, and 2) I’ve been swamped with work due to the winter season and half of my co-workers being on vacation, both factors contributing to me being exhausted and often not being in the mood for such a grueling challenge, but it’s still a very fun hack! I especially love the writing of the story and am very curious to see where you’ve taken it
Though I do have one (small) critique, I’ve found the “support conversations” to be a bit wonky mechanically. They’re definitely an improvement over vanilla, and I love how they each give unique bonuses, but that’s also kind of the problem. Without looking at the guide (which I’d prefer not to do, I don’t wanna spoil myself) it’s hard to know which character is going to get a bonus and if that bonus will be worth it, so if it’s a conversation between a unit you don’t use and one you do use, the conversation might be mechanically useless to you
Of course, I can always reset the chapter if the conversation ends up being useless, since I can do the conversations on turn 1 most of the time. That’s why I say it’s only a small critique, cuz it’s really just a minor inconvenience rather than an actual issue
Overall though god I love this hack, expanding on Magvel lore and characters is great and I love all the original characters (I know most of them are technically mentioned in the original game but c’mon I’ve gotta give you credit for the goated writing and designs). Plus, the units are really fun to use gameplay-wise, and none of them feel like bad units that I’m being punished for trying to use
ive been working on a little purple mod for this hack. now i need to actually play through the hack to get to the prep screen and other stuff to test if my ui all works. but i think it looks good so far

Chapter 9 made me think the game was fucking with me
Spoilers obvs
I unequipped a bunch of units and threw them into the boss room to bait the Berserk cuz I was not about to deal with that and then like, after several turns bro just did not use the staff so I was like “…okay maybe he doesn’t actually use it?” and then THE SECOND I put weapons back on everybody he started using the staff, thankfully Hayden dodged which gave me time to unequip everybody again… But then Moulder berserked Saaga and she almost killed herself by running directly into the boss
Ultimately defeated Moulder with a Triangle Attack because it was unironically the only reliable way I could kill him (other than maybe Lyon’s special funny tome but Lyon was halfway across the map so meh)
The story section was also wild but I’m too tired to talk about that it’s nearly 2 AM
Ourple
I approve
So, in Hag in White, it was asserted that Lyon was a war criminal. I decided count the war crimes to see if it was true
Spoilers
Before the story start : Murder of Natasha.
Prologue : Surprise attack on Renais
Chapter 1 : Nothing
Chapter 2:Nothing. Civilians who fight are treated as combatants according to the rules of war and unfortunately for Ross.
Chapter 3: Nothing.
Chapter 4 : Nothing
Chapter 5 : Murder of a POW (Joshua). Conscripting of a child soldier. Saar’s crimes are not Lyon’s.
Chapter 5x :Nothing
Chapter 6 : Nothing. Fomorthis in in charge.
Chapter 7-9 :Nothing
Chapter 10 : Surprise attack onto Gerik’s mercenaries.
Chapter 11-14: Nothing
Chapter 15 : Nothing (The massacre of the village is the Demon king’s fault)
Chapter 16 : Nothing (Valter acted on his own).
Chapter 17 : Nothing (his intimidation of Rennac can be excused since Rennac threatened to act as a spy)
Chapter 18-19 :Nothing
Chapter 20 : Caellach coerce Ismaire into fighting for Lyon.
Chapter 21-23 : Nothing.
Chapter 24 : Brutal murder of 4 civilians for no reason, under his commands.
Chapter 25-30: Nothing
So, Lyon is responsible for 6 war crimes. He is also complicit of 4 war crimes, due to not punishing Saar, Caellach, and Riev (who has created hords of incontrollable monsters who kill all humans they see). He also has no qualms letting Bazba and Bone steal everything they can.
So, overall, Lyon is not really an active war criminal. He is still kind of evil.
This feels like it’s lowballing his many crimes. Slaughtering his way across a continent while somehow only being directly responsible for six war crimes doesn’t add up to me. Maybe that’s because most of his crimes were of the non war variants?
And I feel like the deal with Ross is kind of iffy.
Summary
If Ross and his buddies were all minors, does that change anything? Because the narrative treats Ross and his dead friends as children/teenagers. That’s an honest question; I genuinely don’t know the answer.
If there’s no change in the legality or whatnot of that, I guess it’s not a war crime, just a crime against basic human decency.
To be fair,I’m not counting the visit of villages and houses. I also consider that the destruction of unarmed ennemy priests is not a war crime (with the reason being that priest can instantly heal up any soldier, so are a dangerous military asset). And the massacre of the 4 civilians is still an horrible war crime.
And that is ignoring the mother of all war crimes that is being commited, that is the release of murderous, uncontrollable monsters all over Magvel that you can see in skirmish battles. Lyon only get away because Riev is the direct culprit and he never intended for that to happen, but this bishop should have been very harshly punished for this colossal disaster.
But yeah, Lyon manage to conquer Magvel without much war crimes. According to the player actions, he can even finish the game with only 2 war crimes (the surprise attacks), shaving off his most heinous actions.
Still, I admit I could have missed some things.
Oh, and no, even if Ross buddies were all minors it change nothing. They are still combatants. Otherwise it would create the absurd situation where if your ennemy has child soldiers, you can’t fight them or you are a war criminal.
Edit : I remove Natasha’s murder from the list of Lyon’s war crimes. It is merely a domestic crime (might even be legal for him since he is the prince of Grado).
Good ol’ Lyon, being a regular criminal as opposed to a war criminal. Good thing Gross Abuse of a Corpse isn’t a war crime. I think.
