Monster units, including Monica, are capped at lv. 10 while unpromoted. Once at lv. 10 (unpromoted), they will automatically promote at the start of the next map featuring the army they’re in, similar to how t0 trainees promote.

Not making any promises here, but if I were to add a new playable character to the hack, is there any among these blokes that you’d prefer? Just thinking about it, I might end up not doing anything, but I’d like to know people’s opinion.
(If you’ve any different suggestions, go ahead and send them, I’m just toying with ideas here)

Love how Cyclops is sweeping the vote so far.
Although I suppose it is very early to tell who will win.
But considering this game has playable monsters already, expanding on that will be surely neat.

My worry with cyclops, and the reason I didn’t include them initially, is that they’re just more axemen for the pile. Still, I can work something out. I have a few ideas for each of these goobers. We’ll see if any of it comes to fruition, of course.

Yeah. I get that. Too much of one weapon type sucks. But I suppose Cyclops can use different weapons too.

There’s a few animations on the repo for different weapon types (including a teeny little bow lol) might make for a very interesting character to use something other than Axe!

Those… aren’t ambush spawns, they’re just reinforcements. Ambush spawns are reinforcements that appear at the start of enemy phase, allowing them to move before you can react to their presence.

Well, I had a feeling it’d go this way. I do have an idea to make the cyclops a bit more interesting, and I’ll admit at this point monster completion would be nice. Even if the eyeball is still only “technically” playable. We’ll see.

My vanilla FE8-trained brain says “save Binks’ gang, you’ll get a Orion’s Bolt” but they are. Suicidal little guys.
It was fun to save just the one guy though.
I’m still really enjoying the hack. No notes. I’m very grateful.

I happen to have just completed that chapter myself and managed to save 2 out of 3 of Binks’ gang. I formulated a pretty elaborate strategy to accomplish this, I didn’t even realize it was necessarily possible to save all 3 and assumed they were intended to die by default. I suppose there must be a Sleep staff I missed somewhere? Otherwise I have no idea how to prevent the Myrmidon from killing at least one of them on Turn 2 without Reyson making a cameo appearance. She seems to always target them even while Berserk’d.
I also got to see this since Pablo is dead.
Forking over 5000 gold was painful, I mentally process that as 2 Short Bows now. Then I realized he comes with a Brave Bow and was satisfied with that.
