FEBuilder on MacOS

I recently got a new Macbook, and I am trying to run FEBuilder to finish my project. I’m running it through wine, but none of the apps like vgmusic or mgba are installing. Anyone done this kinda thing before?

I made a post about using FEBuilder on Linux before.
Pretty much everything said also applies to MacOS.

Thanks, still, is kinda anoying just i find wamting to try fe builder i have a mac because my father told me was better for my university work lol

He told me the same thing about exe archives that i need that to use them

That’s rough, sorry to hear it (I’ve been there.)

I will add two things:

  1. Whatever you do, do not install windows as a second OS on your machine. The drivers for mac are not compatible with windows regardless of what anyone will tell you.
  2. When I used wine in 2018 to run FEBuilder it was indeed very glitchy and slow. I was able to edit stats for units and make a basic map but that was about it. It was a good place to start, but not a good environment for actually making something.

A quick google search pulled up an installation tutorial for wineskin, I remember trying to use it way back in the day but I couldn’t figure it out/ had issues. It’s possible that in the last 7 years they’ve ironed out the kinks and it works smoothly now.

Here’s the link to that video How to Run .exe Software on your Mac!! (FREE!) - Daniel About Tech

Ok, i was going to try using UTM to use FEbuilder im mac, but thank for you help

Is not you fault, but i can’t make it work nor the video nor UTM

I will leave this for now because im not really on the mood

But maybe other time i will try again tomorrow

Still, even of it is a bit petty, i does make kinda regret listen to my father to get a mac because he told me it was better for my animations programs for my university career lol

MacOS is better for animation, graphic design, and coding than Windows. He’s not wrong.

You can download Windows 10 off the Microsoft site still I think and just load it into VirtualBox. Just don’t register it, you can skip that. It’s literally free
