[FE9] Path of Radiance: Reverse Recruitment Ultimate (FE9RRU)

FE9RRU is a complete reverse recruitment hack for Path of Radiance. It fully reverses the recruitment of all units, including Laguz.

The only exception I’ve made is for the protagonist: Ike has been swapped out for Elincia instead of a Laguz noble to maintain balance.

I’ve also created custom map and battle models for all units that are normally pre-promoted or unable to promote, giving them a unique visual identity.

Important gameplay notes

General information:

Sothe promotes by story, Volke promotes normally.

Volke, Lethe and Gatrie will join automatically at preparations (after leaving base).

Support growth is generalized, based upon recruitment chapter.

Giffca, Tibarn and Naesala inherit the supports from Titania, Boyd and Oscar.

Stats and growths for laguz royals and dragons are recalculated:
Royals: growth x1.5 and calculated based upon lv20 avrg -5 str, skl, spd, def, res, which is added by Laguz Band instead.
Dragons: growth x2 and calculated based upon lv20 avrg.

The Laguz Band comes with Rhys/Shinon and is usable by any Laguz, and as mentioned above, give +5 str, skl, spd, def, res.

Runesword is Elincias personal weapon.

Observe:

Enas Items do not transfer to warehouse after CH7.

CH19 talk event (Naesala): Only Brom, No Kevin/Mordy.

For some reason, a Level 20 Bow Knight Soren shows up in Chapter 9 preps

This is the first chapter where he starts delivering the MVP results in vanilla, so perhaps he felt a disturbance now that Geoffrey is doing it

Sorry about this. I have uploaded updated version now that fixes this bug. If possible please replay chapter 8. otherwise just ignore that character, I dont think it will distrub the rest of the game.

Hi, I absolutely loved playing through this. The only major issue I ran into was that the first part of Chapter 27 was completely devoid of enemies outside of the starting thieves for some reason. Other than that I had a great time using all the characters and seeing the changes that were made. Very impressive especially considering how pedestrian FE9 hacking typically has to be. I may even attempt a maniac run with this patch if I can sort it out.

I also encountered the lack of enemies in Ch27.

Thought the game was fun tho, Largo was my MVP, Ena was also very good for me. Geoffrey goes without saying, early paragon made him crazy as one might expect. However, you did Astrid quite dirty. Level 17 promoted with 20/1 bases, right after Makalov joins at level 8 promoted with better bases. At least you gave her axes.

Overall enjoyed it tho, would play a revision if you ever come back to it.
