Now that you mention it i didn’t get it either, but i assumed it was intended in Time to split. It was fine since chronus is still pretty good as a sniper.
T2S v1.1.0 is updated so now Cronus can properly become an Assassin for the 5th time, patch was outdated and fixed so yay. And since split promos are a thing, Cronus as ANY of his classes can turn into an Assassin just fyi.
Also for anyone impacted by this, his Promo item will be sold in the Preparation Screen for 1gold, so you can buy it and use it.
How do you update the ROM and keep your save? I know it has something to do with savestates but I’m not sure.
The way i have done it in the past is i create a folder for every romhack, then when a new update comes out i create a new folder named after whatever the patch version is (In this case time to split 1.1.0) patch the new .ups file to a clean rom and name it after the patch, then copy paste all the .sg1 (Save states) And .sa1 (Save game) files and rename them to be the same as the new file, it works for me but there’s probably easier ways to do it (Remember the last numbers on a .sg1 file before the period correspond to the save state slot and need to be kept unchanged)
Hey there, enjoying the hack so far but think I found a bug. If I try to promote Selene with a master seal this happens.

If it’s already been addressed and I missed it my apologies.
Who the heck is Selene?
Ooops, that’s Serene. Damn auto correct.
Ya know, funny enough when i had the problems with chronus i ment to speak about using the default promo items on serene and blue haired lord guy both straight up just crashed the emulator but didn’t remember to say anything and just used their new ones anyway.
edit 3 days later: just an FYI for some reason magic knights magic cap in normal version got locked at 20. I also wonder if thorn losing access to lockpicking all together was intentional with his red mage promotion in TTS.
Can i also say i despise how you designed Galgorian and Wahnrin’s skills and weapons.
A 70 attack HP drainer who can randomly petrify you with 100% hit and the complete BS of Galgorian’s 70 defense and 50% chance to take no damage isn’t fun.
Note I’m posting this while extremely frustrated and combined with my disdain for weapons being the only reason a boss is threatening due to giving them overinflated stats so i’m not exactly thrilled.
Having a bunch of effective damage or not they are too bloated with power for me to just let it slide. I think a better idea would have been one being magic proof and one being physical proof with weary fighter to simulate how durable they are ment to be.
Final boss spoilers ahead
So here’s my dilemma, I didn’t like how easy there were to on my first map. Literally Astra Crit killed both of them so I buffed them, and then still they were super easy for being such legendary beings. So when v1.2 came around I decided to make them as legendary as the lore allows. Which unfortunately means they can kill you quite easily. (all / almost all legendary weapons should have miracle).
But yeah Wahnrin petrify can really screw you over if you don’t have a restore staff. Slowly but surely is how they have to be taken down. And yeah I’ve died and lost to them quite a few times, not to mention I whooped them other times. So it’s just all what you make of it. I think my Zerker Cross with the legendary Axe could crit and oneshot the boss or it got real close to it.
Galgorian is a little different. He’s super resistant to magic on turn 1 before he attacks, so if you manage to play around that then strike him with only physical hits it shouldn’t be too hard. Unless you get screwed by his 50% shield over and over. When he attacks he either uses physical or magical and gains a shitton of resists for that one too. So you can bait which one you attack.
my retort
I mostly just needed to vent my frustration, but it’s more that I think its how the two interact being so close that causes a grander issue since Gal has galeforce and will actively go after anyone Wah has petrified. Another small issue is Gal starts with Physical Guard and you Need to axe him turn one or else everything gets more dangerous since they gang up on a single unit.
Also unless you futz with the trigger check on Aegis or Pavise then they probably still use the default formula which is skill% which is 58% due to the weapons. after restarting the stage over 30 times for testing at that time every aether proc had the luna nulled and the followup blocked or just outright blocked every physical attack.
And wahnrin under the same conditions has a similar issue where due to his skill being exactly 50 causes his sol rate to be effectively 100% unless he procs his stone effect which is why i thought his sword just has a nosferatu effect on it until i noticed him not get health when he petrified serene who had the restore staff on her.
Basically their skill is too high for their skill procs to not work every time which makes them an irritation to fight.
I’ll double check once my PC is on, but it might be in like 3hrs or like 15 depending on if I get up early enough before work.
Yeah no that just happens, honestly you really shouldn’t use those horse seals, the extra move isn’t all that helpful considering all the shenanigans this hack can throw at you especially with any officer enemy after a certain map having a Horse/Armor killer always in them.
Rescue/drop chains are so good
Mounted units are more flexible overall
Silly question but what chapter are you on?
Cause once you get sufficiently far you really can’t afford to do that since the maps will have rather high enemy density or quality with a lot of slayers. Plenty of status and siege as well.
I guess i’m just more of a footsoldier guy though, since most of the units that stay on foot just perform better for me. That and i dislike how canto breaks things with certain convos not working right or getting the support loop issue.
It is now fixed, it’s correctly 36 now. Funnily enough in the T2S version it was fine.
base game v1.2.7 is what you need now.
@jackofblades1991 tbh I also don’t like horse mages, or using horses in general. And I think I’ve used Rescue maybe 4-5 times in playing every game in the series, but ALOT of people wanted them in the game, so I obliged. But it is fun having a 12mv Flora with ArcWind running fools down.
chapter 11
I hear ya, sometimes just one or two units with extreme move can be fun, but once you have like say 8/12 deployment slots filled with canto users it just gets kinda boring.
As an aside one of the weird mechanics i’d like to see a hack use is 3 promotion types, like a Mercenary promoting into either a gladiator (sword locked) with crit boost), a Hero (Sword and Axe), or Ranger (Sword and Bow) with no mounted units at base.
