So they removed monster effective weapons and there is a monster effective combat art. Bane of Monsters(general use) and Foudroyant(locked to Levin sword/Thunderbrand)

I don’t know how to do that sorry!

Custom Monsters WPN should be okay, they have a different way to give them an icon here although I need to see how to do it.

Can I reserve Orson? I want to do something fun for it, and see if I’m able to do something that wasn’t done in a previous FE8 PME.

On another topic, I believe that for QoL patches, the usual like HP bars, map danger zone, battle stats when animations are off should already be perfect.

Besides actual patches, as far as I can remember of other QoL changes, one is slightly increasing the amount of experience healers gain when using staves, so they don’t take ages to level up compared to combat units. Another change is multiple S Ranks allowed, but that I dunno if some people like it while others prefer only one S Rank.

The water dagger works like a brave hand axe or javelin but with sword. The dagger throw animation is already built into the whisper and ninja anims, and I’ll provide an assassin anim with a dagger.

Ninja: Promotes into Assassin or Whisper with Hero Crest. Bases similar to thief, but more skill and str, less spd and a little bit less health.

It doesn’t look too hard, there’s a particular “patch” that seems to let an amount of data for combat arts be altered. It may be a bit limited, but if it works the way I think it does(which is something that warrants testing and experimentation), I can probably work with it.

I also meant custom weapon arts for monster weapons, which, of course, would need to be custom. In any case, I uh.

Still need these questions answered. Before I can do anything.

I think Weapon Arts (and skills) were implemented to allow Physical Weapon to do the same wacky stuff magic can do, I’ll keep it as 2 WPN arts.

I don’t think I can separate unique combat arts by promotion class? So, I think it will have to stay at 2 if u gain more WPN rank. If you want your character to be locked to promoting to a certain class, I can implement that thru a patch (as long as it doesn’t conflict). Also Myrms is a bad example lol.

How about mercenary cuz it gains axes which allows for Thunder axe but if they promote to ranger they get bows would they get the corresponding arts or will the ones the creator picks is the only they get.

U choose 2 for swords 2 for axes 2 for bows.

Also when should I make you guys unlock them? (Specfically for 2 art users)
C & A WPN Ranks?

TBH it depends. I wouldn’t want a unit to have to grind secondary weapon ranks to get a combat art when promoting.

Maybe C and A for base ranks and then D and B for secondary weapons?

Example: Mercenary has C and A for swords but D and B for axes when promoting to Hero. Likewise for bows when promoting to Ranger.

And what how ones not locked to weapon rank like tempest could be a general use as its just a stronger strike and what about healing focus that isn’t linked to a weapon is it just a level thing or a base thing?

Baccara was sent by his father to visit Khan and learn tactics. Khan, as a retired general and far out of his prime, struggles to grow, but when he does it pays massive dividends (hence, Blossom). I tried not to go too overkill with him from a balance standpoint, but I would be lying if I said he wasn’t a monstrous combat unit and well worth the investment.

Healing Focus is specifically an ART and not a Combat Art so I think it would count as a skill.

Tempest seems to be locked under Lances, plus alot of Combat Arts can be dumbed down to “just a stronger attack”, so I’m against adding a generic base combat art for everyone.

Also small ask could you change the dialog in chp.2 to make it sound like Khan and Baccara are Teacher and Student relation instead of Father and Son relation?
