[FE8 PME] The Ultimate PME, of all time, really

Hello, Fire Emblem Universe! My name is Rye on Speed, and while I have been a very vocal and outspoken critic of the PME trend for the past 2 years, I have decided to try and make one myself to see what the hype is all about!

This PME will feature custom dialogue, custom supports, and custom classes that people may submit concepts for, alongside all the usual nonsense that comes with PMEs!

Of course, I’m also putting personal responsbility on YOU the submitter to balance the PME, including mathing out all the stats and such, so if you submit a terrible ass character that’s unbalanced as all hell, that’s on the submitter, not me!

There will be no limits on submissions going forward, at all (also NO CLAIMS, if you wanna claim just be faster imo frfr). You may submit as many people as you want in a single day as far as your creative juices can bring you.

The only caveat is that submissions must be distinct (you cannot use the same portrait or the same character concept) (sorry, Tezuka). I also have the right to reject any submissions seen as too low quality.

Oh btw i forgot to mention this but you can in fact submit your self insert if you want

If two people submit for the same slot around the same time frame I will now instead implement a “time rift” mechanic where they have a 50/50 chance of appearing in that slot :slight_smile:

Character bio (for my notes): Krista has been around far longer then her peers in the Mercenary business. After doing some intense jobs, she wishes to get a nice, relatively peaceful postion where she can do the bare minimum of her job. Becoming a bodyguard for some prince, sounded easy enough for her so she immediately went for it. While she isn’t exactly happy with this decision, she can’t say she regrets it. She’s a sociable person and hopes to get along with most people she interacts with, but she can get pretty bitter when annoyed.

Personal Skill: Beyond Breaking Point

  • Chapter Start: Gain 45 Sanity. (Max: 45)
  • Turn Start: If Sanity >=5, recover 5 Sanity. Otherwise, remove all Sanity and enter Corrosion.
  • Combat Start: Dealing damage recover 5 Sanity. Taking damage removes 10 Sanity. Dodging attacks recovers 3 Sanity.
  • When an ally dies, lose 15 Sanity. When an enemy dies, recover 5 Sanity and also recover 5 more Sanity if the enemy was killed by this unit.
  • Turn End: If unit did not participate in combat, lose 5 Sanity.
  • Corrosion:
  • Cannot be dispelled. Cannot be removed. Unit is immune to other status effects.
  • Turn Start: Unit gains stacks of Madness equal to the difference between the number of enemy and player units on the map. Gain Madness/2 ATK, ASPD, Hit, Crit, Avoid during combat. Personal: A Faith Beyond All Axes

Unit gains Hit/Crit equal to half of unit’s Luck, and unit’s Axes do not lose durability during combat. Unit gains Con equal to the current equipped weapon’s Wt, and can use any Prf axes.

If unit would take lethal damage during combat and unit has an axe equipped, negates the damage taken and reduces equipped weapon’s durability by the damage taken.

If unit has no axes available and is defeated, resets unit’s stats to base, and makes it a force-deploy on its next chapter.

Personal: Battle-Hardened Forging

Unit gains no XP from combat, but instead gains 100 XP right after each chapter it was deployed on is finished.

The unit gains one stack of Stat Growth (each giving a +3% bonus to that growth) each time the unit makes one of the following actions:

  • Gain 1 HP token each time this unit decreases its own weapon durability.
  • Gain 1 Str token each time this unit deals physical damage.
  • Gain 1 Mag token each time this unit deals magical damage.
  • Gain 1 Spd token each time this unit dodges an attack, is doubled, or doubles an enemy.
  • Gain 1 Skl token each time this unit misses or crits an enemy.
  • Gain 1 Def token whenever this unit takes physical damage.
  • Gain 1 Res token whenever this unit takes magical damage.

These tokens are lost upon defeat.
