Ch25x I really liked the story twist with OG Kronii straying from her path and the clone Kronii becoming “good” because they have disparities in what the meaning of their mission is. It reminds me of A Certain Magical Index NT6 if anyone read that, Beetle-05 taking control over Kakine and all. Now we have 2 funny Gotoh units yay.
I liked the pace of the chapter a lot, you can easily take care of the whole map with Calli and Ame on one side and another trained unit on the other. I had only Ame and Mumei (And Calli) trained at all and they cleared basically the whole map. Fauna spamming elephants was fun too, though it may be a bit overwhelming sometimes.
I was wondering where Haachama was considering I’ve seen every girl and damn, what a plot twist, Akai Haato touching the Yabai creating Haachama, it was a really nice read.
After replaying and receiving tips from other friends, I realized I missed a lot of items in my first playthrough, which made me a bit frustrated. Is it possible to make the hidden prompts more noticeable, like the one in Chapter 21? It seems that if you don’t bring the corresponding character into battle, you don’t even get the prompt.
Seems Nihil does not beat Ch23 Kronii’s Great Shield. Since I only have 1 Mine, it doesn’t seem like I can kill her (as I don’t have a way to poison her or do out-of-combat damage to kill her using the Mine).
Still, I can neutralize her entirely and remove the map’s anti-turtle. Use Hand Cannon to kill the top right Magic Seal, since Bolting/Purge does not outrange it. Then, warp an Entrap caster into the room, have them Entrap Kronii into the room, and use Rescue to get the caster out. Oh, and also because this Kronii doesn’t have any Authority, the rest of the map isn’t super-buffed while I slow-roll it.
You can also Sleep her if you want, but you’ll be forced to re-apply Sleep over time. Still, if you just need a few extra turns you can do that I guess.
Seconding this, it would be nice to get the prompts in the pre-battle screen instead of having to guess who you’re supposed to deploy each chapter. I understand that they’re supposed to be bonus items that you luck your way into, but it’s not the greatest feeling in the world to realize that you didn’t get something potentially extremely useful because you didn’t deploy someone you had no real reason to deploy.
IMO things like Choco’s PRF in chapter 23 are alright for that design - if you’re not fielding the character anyways, who cares if you get a prompt to find a weapon only she can use? But anything general use or with very limited deployment slots it might be nice to let players know in advance who to at least bring to try and find the thing.
Bug Report:
Updated to 1.5.1 and am starting Chapter 8. After the dialogue at the start, the map just hangs. Tried with mGBA, VBA-M, and gpSP (Retroarch versions). Specifically the ARM Linux versions of the cores (ex: on a 35XXSP)
ch25x has you face off against all of council whom all drop their prf weps so you could have a scenario where you can have two copies of their prfs if you sparingly use them and didnt forget to move them out of range of baes rat pack which would easily break the newly acquired prfs with how weak the rats are
Reset the map to do some further testing of the Ch23 Kronii’s. It turns out the two backup Kronii’s after the first Kronii is killed can be spawn-blocked. Not sure about the second main Kronii.
Weird bug to report : Whenever the cursor goes through the Dragonstone+ from ch23x in supply or item list, the game crashes, be it on map or during preparations, in both 1.2 and 1.5.1.
It doesn’t matter much because it’s the last item on the list so it doesn’t block me out of anything, but if anyone wanted to use that it may be problematic.
Resumed Holoemblem playthrough. Made it to Chapter 6.
My Thoughts
Chapter 6 feels… weird in terms of flow. Like I want to get all the chests, but the problem is that there’s only one Thief and I have only one Chest key on Shuba.
I get why its not like everything at once but… hmmm…
Maybe I’m jusr used to having a kind of proper ‘route’ for these things but not having that feels… wrong to me, somehow.
If you select a character in the “items” tab of the preparation menu, you should see an “Armory” tab as one of 6 options. You can buy single-use chest keys there.
just wanted to put it out there, I got back to having the “Lightning Axe” again now in v.1.5.1, and used it on Marine again.
so in this version, Marine actually throws the axe now (whereas in v.1.4 it froze before the animation), but it still freezes with her arm extended out after the enemy she killed disappears.
Just wanted to update the situation as its made ‘slight’ progress since the previous version.
Thank you! I really wanted to emphasize the split between the Kroniis. Or at least show the different versions having different personalities at least. I prefer the alternate version where you don’t fight council!
I personally think it’d be a bit weird, but I’ll give it a shot!
I have never thought of this and I’m happy to see things like this!
Sure! I’ll pump them out for recruitment and other “necessary” things!
I’ll take a took. I have an idea whats happening.
Yea that item had some problems for me as well in Dev. I’ll give it another go!
That’s fair. I made the map big because I wanted to show off your 4 new mounts. In addition, Flare’s Gem is enough to buy keys in the armory in preps. Even if you don’t collect all of them there’s enough to capture through the chapters to fulfill your needs.
That’s what I was afraid of.
Welp, time to make animation frames
