PLEASE when you get the time to PLEASE continue this story. It’s so good why aren’t you an author?!?!? I also appreciated the knowledge on food you have as well Padan and even made the dishes myself. Vision quest was better than even some main line stories in FE, and imo only a few hacks like the morrows golden country/the last promise can compete with it. I just HAVE TO experience how it ends. I hope whatever you are going through passes so we can get this masterpiece of a story you created complete. PS it is quite hilarious and a nod to fate you made a character similar to me. My name is Nicholas, being a fire sign, and am also loud and ambitious hahahahahaha.

appreciate the kind words, but I’m not revisiting this. Glad you liked the recipes.

I just want to say that Vision Quest is an absolute masterpiece, what impressed me the most is how you were able to identify all of the key ingredients that make a Fire Emblem game, yet rearrange the recipe in a way that made the game feel totally original and unique (For example you actually included the Fire Emblem as an essential artifact in this universe). The characters were shockingly well written, from Storch’s working class attitude and family (who I found very relatable!) to Titus’s lack of self aware elitism, it was such a well made game that in my personal head canon I consider this just as much an actual Fire Emblem as anything Nintendo has put out. With that said, I know you probably don’t feel interest or inspiration to continue working on this game or universe, but please, even if it’s years from now, I am DYING to know what happens to Titus, Storch, Marlen, Waluyo, etc. This game obviously needs a sequel at some point so please, don’t ever fully shut the door on the possibility of making this.

Appreciate the kind words, glad you liked the hack.

Even though this isn’t complete and I don’t intend to go back and work on it (you can read all of the notes on what I was thinking a few posts up), I still think it’s worth playing since the team did a great job on the art + I think the gameplay is neat.

If I was to do another project as the solo lead (which I unfortunately haven’t been able to in any serious or consistent capacity), I would do something else at this stage – I still feel that the narrative obligations of a VQ sequel would get in the way of the story I’d like to tell at this stage of my life given how much I’ve grown/changed since I started working on VQ in October 2017.

I also feel from the gameplay side, I got to explore most of the ideas I wanted to in LoT through my work with the team on Bells of Byelen. So even gameplay would look a bit different in anything I’d make next (ie probably not a capture hack)

I hope you understand, and again appreciate the praise
