nah wario doesnt recruit anyone else, there’s only one interconnected secret unit and even that one doesn’t technically require another secret unit, just makes it quite a bit easier. as for wario it only took like 3 turns for me to get em, dont remember doing anything special for that bit to happen lol
That certainly has to have been a change cause I remember looking at this hack in FEBuilder and actually going “the hell!?” when I saw his turn limit requirement.
I also have fairly spotty memories of this hack but that I certainly remember.
Doing another run and found this guide on Discord for the lazy ppl

I’m finishing up the final chapter now. This was a hilarious and fun hack - much better than it has any right to be given the premise. The gameplay and map design was solid, although I think the difficulty was too high in the final 1/3 of chapters or so (especially reinforcements - those were overwhelming in some chapters). Also, it felt like every unit was the same by the final few chapters since enemies and your units were stat capped left and right with access to crazy top tier weapons. The writing was very good and I enjoyed the interactions between the characters - I only wish that the supports were completed. Seeing every character’s interaction with Samto in chapter 18 was particularly funny.
Here’s the characters I trained for most of the game along with some commentary on each. I’m not including backup staffbots and units that joined late.
Decent lord, although his late promotion definitely hampered him quite a bit. Also, he’s outsped by too many endgame enemies, so his usefulness is limited by then.
MVP of the run. For much of the game, it felt like you were playing as the final boss when using Sephiran. The fact that he got flight is the cherry on top.
MVP of tanking longbows in the early chapters. The Aggravation skill is really important for positioning because it allowed me to put weak units in enemy range as long as this guy is also in their range.
