I only go to play chapter 1 so I might aswell replay it since the changes are way significant from the small glimpse i took .
Game has quite much depth in terms of skill and such .
When the game said in the first 2 chapters i need to beat them in 7 turns
does that mean both together or each in 7 turns. I hope the latter
the gaiden requirement is for 7 turns per chapter, not together
That means turn 7 is the last turn possible right ?
does that mean all acts when this is done will be standalone stories??
yes it means that as I got the gaiden if it’s 1x . I just wonder where the light magic user came from.
Btw I like the anima magic user , him able to steal in addition to using magic is fun + swarp shenanigans.
I thought because of the map sprite you use leo’s animation
There’s a glitch when using the buckler shield. Using it on an enemy that has a brace (didn’t test with other tiles yet) on the opposite side of the user puts the user on the brace. I am not sure of if this will somehow useful I can’t resposition while inside the tile.
1-1x not having any text is kind of a meme now given how long it has been unwritten. It will be filled out before the game is completed, and we have core concepts in place already. devisio just thought it would be funny to leave it unwritten still for this year’s patch, and I was like “sure we can wait till later”.
Tl:dr Kane is Ansgar’s brother who cut ties with their parents, and he contacts Ulrich’s platoon to help take down some local criminals he’s been independently tailing.
Pushed a quick hotfix that should fix any remaining typos/placeholder text, fixes the Rescue arrows being off, and rewrites some internal logic in a late chapter. Hopefully should be the last one for a while!
EDIT: spoke too soon. pushed another hotfix lol that fixes the mage knight in act 2 hanging the game on kill.
just finished the patch currently out and PROPS to devisio and bobby for the game so far. i really like the gameplay and story and think they’ve did an excellent job with it. keep up the good work!
if you’re reading this and you haven’t played the game… just go play it right now, man. it’s a must play imo
also check out this gus
(please don’t nerf him)
Look really nice
Comedically, mere moments after releasing my last hotfix, I was sent a 96-page Google doc with a compilation of typos/revisions/other errors.
Pushed another hotfix (v2.0.2) (Download HERE or in the OP):
Finished my run not too long ago and it was an absolute pleasure to playtest this. Highly recommend it ![]()
Some thoughts:
In my opinion, this hack’s biggest strength is unit design, everyone feels very distinct, unique and fun to use. For example, a unit like Jaye is very different from someone like Sequin, despite both having the same class and thief utility, and both are very powerful in their own right.
I really like how you handled thieves and armors by giving them extra actions, unique movement skills and special equipment. Thieves are some of my least favorite classes to use, while armors are some of my favorite, however I feel like many hacks and mainline games don’t handle armors correctly. I definitely really enjoyed your take on these two class types.
It’s fun to compare the story of part 1 and part 2, as I’m definitely more interested in Affogato and Ulrich’s story than I am in Chiffon, Graham and Raial’s, but part 2 feels a lot more event driven with the whole resistance fighting against the Aeterian Empire, while also trying to sway the Aeterian generals to their side, which in turn causes the maps to have a lot of side objectives that alter the course of the game, so part 2 has very good story-gameplay cohesion I feel.
I do feel like a bunch of characters could be fleshed out, characters like Noel, Dira, Chester and Moose have very few lines, and others like Ogrim and Iris just kinda appear in your battle preps with no fanfare. I know this will be addressed in the future so I’m looking forward to it.
The weapons and items are also very fun and powerful. Really enjoy weapons like the kard and the arcane rifle, and I really enjoy what you did with the pure water. That said I do feel like the shields could be a bit stronger, as I didn’t really use them very much beyond a few part 1 maps.
Speaking of maps, my favorite ones are definitely 1-4, 1-F and 2-7. Extremely fun objectives, good story line and decently challenging overall.
Also I made a tier list of how much I enjoy the main cast:
Looking forward to what’s next for sure, excellent game Devisio. Definitely one people need to play and pay attention to ![]()
Haven’t played on the newest hotfix, but hard endorsing this hack either way. I played it ~2 years back (before part 2 was done) and very recently as well (not long before the current release) and both times I had a lot of fun. The gameplay is heavily player-phase focused, but enemy-phasing does exist and there are skills incentivizing it in some cases. Mugs are awesome, lots of fun tools available to the player, very enjoyable character banter.
第三幕还要多久 我已经玩到2-7
okay so i hate eternal winter. i hate ew so much BUT i love tlpppp sm
uhh so i’m literally only here for your anims btw
what’s tlp
EDIT: biscotti is recruitable. first you need to fulfill the 1-1x and 1-Fx gaiden requirements. then you need to spare her in 1-1 by stalling to turn 20 without killing any enemies. then once you reach part 2 you need to lock into the alt route by killing the messengers/trainees and burning down the enemy supplies and she’ll join you in part 3 prologue B.
hope this helps! lmk if you have any other questions
Just wanna drop by and say thank you for working on this piece of art (especially for so long). I am still early in the campaign (ch 4) but have really enjoyed using the early game crew and figuring out their unique uses. There’s a distinct feeling as a player that you’re making gigabrain plays when actually designing them to flow so easily is even moreso (for example, Safeguard + Stand Behind Me is a fantastic combo of movement and utility).
Add in a variety of fun map songs and the talk options on each one as their own minigoals intermixed with early supports and for anyone hesistant to play this, I’d say just go for it. This is one of a kind and well worth playing.
