[FE8] [Complete] The Sun God's Wrath (Final release - 27 Chapters, no fatigue, 100% growth now added - 5/22/2022)

I love this hack, but I have one issue with it: Fatigue sucks.

there’s a patch to remove fatigue, so just use that. blademaster included it himself.

in any case, fatigue isn’t that much of an issue in this hack anyway, it’s not like losing out on using one of you favorite units for a chapter will kill their viability.

I’m only on Chapter 11 currently, and I currently hate fatigue with every fiber of my being. Okay, I lied: Fatigue combined with the fact that selling stuff is my only method of getting money, and not only is capturing hard to set up even with mercy, but S pouches are expensive, especially compared to the sell value of everything. I get that the point is (most likely) to encourage the player to use more than just the same characters over and over, but with how many decent characters there are/how difficult this hack is without getting the characters you plan on using xp… It’s really hard, okay?

Then maybe my playstyle sucks. Idk man. Also, loved you in Grand Uprising. Best character.

you really don’t need that many S pouches, the ones you get from just playing the game normally are enough to last you the whole run

thanks lol

That battle quote was amazing.

i still can’t believe albert didn’t catch me inserting myself into his own hack

Lol. You fit better than Gerald anyway

Um, so… Where do I get the fatigue patch?

you’re gonna have to wait until the next update

until then, deal with fatigue

and trust me, it’s easier to deal with than you think, there’s no reason you should feel forced to buy more S Pouches and Drinks than what is provided.

Just continue playing w/o thinking of fatigue, and you’ll realize that it’s way less of a burden than perceived. If someone you wanted to use is fatigued, just use another unit. SGW is designed in a way where you should have a suitable replacement in the case. If you’re that desperate to use a unit, then use an S Pouch or Drink, but I used only around 3-4 Pouches/Drinks in my entire playthrough. It really does not matter.

And it’s not that I’m worried my good units will lose viability, I’m worried I will lose units by not being able to use my favorites.

Chances of that happening are slim as shit, considering how only around 2-3 units are recruited by non-Astrea/Daedalus units in a chapter where they’re not already force deployed, or by other means that don’t involve needing a certain unit. You’re already at Chapter 10, which means that there isn’t a single unit in the game at this point that should need a unit that isn’t provided for you in the map. You would actually need the stars to align in a very inconvenient manner to:

-Be in a chapter where you need a certain unit to recruit someone else
-Not have any S pouches/drinks, unless you for some bizarre reason are using them frequently.

What if he’s a perfectionist where he wants to have every single unit maxed out or have a use.

Look, I’m not used to the whole fatigue thing, and I’ve been playing FE long enough to have the mindset of always being able to use the units I have a habit of using. It’s a habit I can’t easily break. So, my natural reaction to seeing the fatigue mechanic is try and keep using the same units by using S pouches and drinks. It’s just what I thought would work. It’s annoying me because it throws half of my mindset when playing FE out the window, and if things don’t go as I plan, I start to fall apart. Just how I’m wired, and I hate it. I want to enjoy this, and I have been, but this is a bit frustrating considering how my brain works…

I just want all my units to live.

Me too then just use infinite money then to solve your problems.

I completely understand that mindset MercuryMerc, after all i’m someone whose playstyle is controlled by some pretty nasty ocd, but i don’t think the hack is made with that mentality being taken into consideration, which is why every single unit is at the very least decent and viable, the creator wanted players to experiment with the roster a little which is something that most fe games and romhacks lack, I can confirm that the game is absolutely completable in it’s hardest difficulty while intentionally never using the same characters two maps in a row (I did this intentionally to help chip away at my habit), and even more, you never need a single fatigue healing item…
The best advice i can give you if this is a really big issue for you, is to wait untill a patch is released which removes fatigue, since the game in it’s current state may cause you an unenjoyable amount of stress…

True and I second that.

That actually helps me feel alot better, thank you. There are a few hacks I left unfinished, so I should probably get to those first anyways.
