I tried playing this before but got stuck on chapter 8 and then put it down. It’s very hard for me to wrap my head around not letting any units die in fire emblem. I always just push through deaths and I feel it enhances the game and replayability when a unit dies and you have to play around that. Since the sequel is out I’m debating on playing this again. Now I know it says not Ironman friendly but is there any units who it’s okay let die? Even like 1 or 2? It really hurts my patience when I have to reset every time a character dies.
I believe at this point, it is okay to let Hilda and Dwalt die. They aren’t essential characters.
Why does this game crash when playing the self randomized version? On gba emulator does anyone know m
Emulator issue, probably
Give Wyrm Slayer from Fenix to Shorn and Slice Zeddard .. beware of three cavalry and three thunder mages spawn near Zeddard.. later chapters are harder than Ch8.. if you want to play Shadow of Dawn quick .. reduce the difficulty of The Dark Amulet ..
Question. In chapter 10 if i kill Harlan is he deas for good or is he like available in letter chapters?
He will be available. Any named character that you kill in Chapter 10 just retreats.
Fyi i love this game so amazing job and massive props.
Might be speaking early when i say this but Hilda is hands down the best unit in the game no contest. She is beyond broken or i got mad lucky because she has:
35 hp
17 strength
2 magic
14 skill
16 speed
12 defense
9 res
All at level 16… yep
Chapter 10 mind you so yeah.
Yes Hilda is pretty broken. The power of a trainee with near-perfect availability, a good class, and decent growths. Maybe she should be toned down, but ‘god tier Hilda’ is just part of the game, at this point. I’m not changing it. Enjoy her glorious power! ![]()
Question about the growth’s being shown. What exactly are like the odds? Like i get it. Green means great growth chance. Yellow is fine and red is trash. But what are we talking about exactly? Is green 50%? 45%? 55%?
Fyi: the reason i ask so many questions is because i sort of want to make like a mega post either on YouTube or reddit through multiple posts where i give as much info as possible to any new players who might want to try the game out.
Kind of like a fe wiki if you will.
Im just keeping note of every unit every map and man it is so much more fun that way because it feels like once it is complete it can actually be useful to someone in the community.
Ps: the game is still awesome. Also will make a unit tier list as soon as i have seen every unit😅. Public tier list obviously.
You can press select (default backspace on keyboard) to see the specific growth for each stat
Holy heck man that is so useful. How the hell is this just not the standard in every fe game?
I think i broke my Nadya because im pretty sure you’re not supposed to have maxed magic at only level 4 as a Seraph knight.(Ps she is the only one who makes me think that maybe Hilda isn’t the best in the game… Hilda is still better lmao)
Greetings,
Pardon my shilling outside the designated space, but this is a special occasion: ANDREWBENINTENDO has chosen The Dark Amulet as our next Fire Emblem foray. So grab your Sash of Accomplishment and Sword of Friendship, and join us.
Really enjoying this game so far. Currently on ch 10. 2 things i noticed (and the threads giant so forgive me if it was mentioned before).
- Griss’s promoted palette is off. Its green instead of his usual white
- What is going on with Jarnathons palette lol. Its very interesting (i can send pics if needed)
The default growth colours for growths in Skillsys are not very good indicators of how high the growths are, as a general rule. This is why quite a few hacks just set all the growth colours to the same colour so that the stat screen looks tidier.
Hello! Just finished your game, and I’d like to give you my thanks and appreciation for making such an excellent game. One thing that I’d like to highlight are the female character designs, they are all incredibly well done.
I am now off to try out The Shadow of Dawn, thank you once again for this great game!
I’ve also got around to playing and beating your hack. The hack was very fun, and the characters were each uniquely fun to utilize. Now I’m headed to play the sequel
