Defeat her or not, it does not matter. You will be able to recruit her (in a later chapter).
I do have a bit of a complaint. I seem to have put myself into an unwinnable situation in Chapter 5.
I did not expect my unit choices to be so limited and had unfortunately not been able to level up Elyse and Edric enough by this point. Not to mention, there is no option to move around items off other units before the mission.
Turtling in place with them will get Elyse killed within 2 or 3 turns no matter what I do. Trying to follow the path through the fog will get one of them killed eventually. My only option seems to either be to reset the run completely or try to abuse savestates for enemy misses.

That’s a fair complaint. Chapter 5 is a very narrative-first kind of chapter. The characters are ambushed and therefore so is the player. No preparations screen, no choice in unit deployment - just try to survive.
Since I put players on the backfoot, I probably should have been less heavy with enemy placement. That was a mistake on my part. If I do another update to The Dark Amulet, I’d likely make Chapter 5 a bit less intense.
Sorry to hear that you’re locked. Elyse’s skill makes her dodgy at full health. My only advice is to plant her on a tree and pray for good luck

Yeah I get what you mean by wanting it to actually feel like an ambush. It’s just very unfortunate how it turned out for me. I’ll keep trying for now, but I might just replay the game on Normal if it gets too frustrating.
I really do like the game so far besides that. Thanks for making it!

Update: I finally got through it. It took a lot of aggressive resetting but at least its done.
I think with 1 or 2 fewer enemies per side and it would be great. Missing out on almost all the chests hurts a bit lol

There should be ways to play it on the phone. I have Android and I played just fine. I’m sure you can find some tutorials on how to make it work

In Chapter 24, the house near your starting position is a secret shop. The member card is dropped off of an enemy in that same Chapter.

If I kill Galen, Eylse, Harlan or Fenix in Chapter 10, would that change anything?

Nadya can be recruited by Edric or Freya.
Gareth can be recruited by Edric, Shorn, or Miley.

Fargus is a lot easier, considering you’ve got an arena and infinite turns to train, but yeah, he is

Question regarding supports. I noticed on some characters Elyse for example there are only 2 possible support levels.
Am i missing something?

Unlike most hacks, some supports are time locked so you have to reach some story points to see it, similar to 3h
Quick question Im a bit confused about regarding supports. In the description it says that all characters can get unlimited B supports with I assume how ever many people they can with, but in game it says that they are limited to 5 total. How does it work exactly?
5 total partners, not five total conversations. You can have 4 B supports and 1 A support
