[FE8] All Hands on Deck [21 Chapters]

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the hack! I patched in a hotfix to this bug a day or so ago, so updating to the new patch should resolve this issue.

I’ve download the new patch, and it does work, but a new issue arose. I can’t seem to select a unit. Nor can I select on an enemy to see their movement range. Even when I end turn the game sorta softlocks

Edit: Nevermind I fixed it somehow. Just restarted 2-B. It’s all good now

Hey so ummm my game has turned littrely into a black screen and nothing else after I see the story for the second part of the murder investigation chapter. I have seen how they are preparing to fight our crew and the cruz guy told some thief to wake up their comrades or something and boom as soon as the story ended my game turned all black like just a black screen any button i press just do nothing.

Seems like this has been a common issue: I recommend updating to the most recent patch and restarting the chapter, which should fix this issue.

Unfortunately I am on a iPad and I don’t know how to update the same patch with the same data

Ah, that’s unfortunate. I know some mobile emulators can switch to a new patch as long as you preserve the save, but I don’t really use any of them, so unsure how to go about that. Best option is probably to ask around and see if your emulator has that capability.

Most emulators will create save files with the same name as the game file. So if you have “AllHandsOnDeckV1.GBA” as the game file, there will be a save file like “AllHandsOnDeckV1.SAV”. File extension might be different based on the emulator.

I will typically save the new patch with a new name, like “AllHandsOnDeckV2.GBA”. Then go and duplicate the save file, and rename it with the new game file’s name. That’s all for the RetroArch-mGBA setup I use.

Stuff like that is for Android only i think either that or my device is too old but anyway there rlly is nothing I can do

That is definitely not true, I use Delta on iPhone and swapping save files is also pretty straightforward.

Oh could you tell me how

You just use the export/import save file buttons.

Unfortunately I couldn’t figure it out it seems I will just have to replay the game on the newer version later

Got to Chapter C-2 in which the chapter just ends. I start C-2, but as soon as I start it skips all the way to the end.

Huh, thanks for letting me know. I uploaded a slightly early patch of the next version, 0.55, which shouldn’t have any issue with C-2 since I tested through it yesterday. Let me know if anything comes up, though.

I just finished chapter 1, and i can already tell how incredible the quality of this hack is. Good luck on the 1.0 release!

Although, i haven´t seen anyone talk about, so idk if it´s a emulator (I’m using Visual Boy advance) or hardware problem, but the game just crashes when i reach the first hub

This is a new bug for v0.55 that I’ve seen that I’ve now patched out: on your version though, if you just press Start before the chapter title loads in, it should skip past the crash.

Edit: This specifically happens whenever Hub A shows up in the chapter intro, for anyone else who runs into this issue.

Oh, that was simpler than i thought, thank you! Now back to it

I’ve completed all the maps in Chapter C (which I assume is C-1 to C-4) but there seems to be no advancement in the story. I don’t see any colored tiles aside from the blue ones where you get Windy.

The lack of a marker/dialogue is an oversight that I’ll fix shortly, but you should be able to advance to Chapter 4 by stepping on the house tile by Ernest and Biko.

Thank you very much i managed to figure it out
