When you reduce the personal stats, all other stats update immediately to reflect the changes. However, the Luck stat remains unchanged. Is this an issue?
Could you elaborate more on that? I belive that might have something to do with the fact that Luck is a purely Unit stat, and not a class stat.
Luck stat is controlled through Character Editor specifically. Which basically means each unit ID has a personal luck amount unlike classes. If the unit is already in your party it will not update the stats/luck unless you go to the original recruitment and recruit them in a fresh file
Here are the standard Unit Base Stats for Eirika.
I edited her Unit Base Stats and increased all stats by +1 except Luck. You can see these changes immediately reflected in the Stat Calculator.
Here, I removed 1 point from POW and 5 points from LUK. When I check the Stat Calculator, it correctly displays the updated POW value for level 1, but not the correct base stat for LUK. It should display that her Luck is now 0, but it does not. It still shows 5 LCK.
Did you save your changes? Have you tried closing the character editor and re-opening it?
Yes I did. It is just a minor issue. It shows the correct stat in the game though.
Well… crud. I don’t know what to do. I’m truly stumpted.
Maybe your base-rom is corrupted? You should try to totally legally re-dumping your legally purchased copy of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Or maybe try re-installing FEBuilderGBA altogether.
You should use VGMusic studio instead of Sappy. Works better
This fixes the sappy error
Okay, wish I’d discovered this thread a year ago. Now that it is here though, I have to ask, what are the main updates this version has to the last 7743 approved version? I see a new version of skill builder with like a million skills, but in my current project I’m using a Custom Skill build so that’s not quite relevant to me right now. Is it worth it to go through all the set up of installing this for any exciting new features that can’t be done on the old version (not that I’m putting down the work of the community for making this, thank you very much everyone).
If you are talking about C Skill Systems, it has some skill related features from the modern games. Like Combat Arts, and unequiping skills. But if you already have a Custom Build, I’d say stick to that if that’s what you want.
My question was more if there’s any other interesting patches available beyond the new skill system update.
