@7743 has been inactive for a long time, and this is an unofficial community fork of his FE_Builder_GBA.
It is a community fork, which means everyone in the community can contribute to it. The build process has been automated, so feel free to create a pull request if you have new patch/bugfix/feature to submit, @Mokha and me will merge it, and the pipeline will make a new build automatically, then everyone will receive your contribution via FEBuilderGBA’s auto update feature.
@aera has been inactive for a long time so his wiki is down, and here is an archive. It is a read only mirror, so I open the Wiki section for everyone to write new doc on FEBuilderGBA.
If you have question on using FEBuilderGBA, don’t ask here because I don’t track this thread. If you are in FEU’s discord, you can ask your question in #febuilder_help channel so that everyone in the community can help you. And I also open Discussion section for those who don’t use Discord or prefer an independent thread to ask question or ask questions to me because I will check unresolved questions there periodically, but I won’t read each message in discord channel.
I don’t open Issues section because the upstream repo already has its Issues section and it will cause confusion in commit message.
I recently got a win11 PC and noticed that the search on the listings wasn’t working correctly, so I updated SearchHelperControl.cs.
I’d be happy to copy and import it if you’d like.
SearchHelperControl.cs
When you key in on the list, the search function is enabled and it should jump, but in win11, you have to press the close button after the jump to get back to the top of the list.
In win7 it is no problem at all.
You should also be able to exit here with the Return key or Esc key.
Because otherwise the usability will be reduced.
I’m very pleased to re-reach connect to you. Previously, in order to provide updates for FEB, both laqieer and I submitted new code to laqieer’s forked branch. However, the automatic update link for FEB is fixed to the repository currently maintained by you.
I’d like to ask: Do you plan to continue leading the maintenance of the FEB repository, or still retire?
If it’s the former, I suggest consolidating the updates that laqieer and I have submitted over the past six months into the original repository (after your review).
If it’s the latter, I propose that you make one final update to FEB before stepping down—changing the automatic update link from the current FEB repository’s release page to laqieer’s maintained download page.
I’d like to hear your thoughts, as well as laqieer’s.
Hi, I did the sync with the upstream, and your change is merged automatically. I invited you to the Collaborators of the fork so that you can merge your changes directly in the future, thanks!
Here, @0003 appears to replace [A]. Which is the dialogue prompt to press the A button. And if you instead type “[A]”, it will appear in dialogue, instead of turning into the prompt.
I hope this gets fixed soon, as it will be a pain to work with to edit dialogue.
A word of caution for other users: Appearently the fork currently has some major issues working properly after the .net upgrade and needs help being fixed. For now, it is best to use the last pre-6.0 build linked in the discussion above instead of a current one.
Quick question.
Is this the recommended version to use now, since the official one hasn’t been updated in a while?
And even quicker question, is it fully compatible and safe to use with ROMs you’ve already edited with the official version?
Yeah, it essencially replaced Master wholesale, no known regressions as of right now(anything found was already fixed) and several additions and fixes already in there.
