Duty Calls – [COMPLETE] 25 Chapter Hack

I think it should be fine if you do it via dms and only the patch , speaking of Id like the patch since I only got the 1.0.2 version.

If someone is willing to DM me the latest ups, I would greatly appreciate it.

May I also get a copy? Would love to try this one.

Hello everyone, I apologise for not keeping up the last few weeks. I have lost some of the files that were on my computer, including this game. If someone is able to send me the latest patch via private message, I will get the link back up as soon as I can.

i would like it as well, esp if it’s the newest version

As long as Jack is okay with me providing it to anyone

Yes. Please send it to me via private message and I will make it available to everyone again as soon as possible.

Edit: Oh! And if you (or anyone) has the credits document that was included in the link, that would be appreciated as well.

Edit 2: I just realised I had private messages disabled in my settings. :man_facepalming: I have opened them now.

Okay everyone, the link is now back up on the main post with the latest version available to download (v1.0.4, which fixes a few bugs).

I still do not have access to the credits document, so if anyone has that, please sent it my way so that I can re-include it in the download link. If not, I will endeavour to rewrite it when I have the time.

Thank you for your patience.

Edit: I was busy yesterday, so I released the v1.0.4 in a hurry. I now realise I did not release the correct one with all the bug fixes—my apologies. The correct one is out now, which fixes an issue where Dudley dying as an NPC in chapter three would not cause a game over as it should, and an issue where the 0% growths option was still displayed on the options screen despite the functionality being removed in v1.0.0 for technical reasons.

What is the support limit? standard 5 like in classic gba titles or unlimited B’s + 1 A?

Five supports maximum, as in vanilla.

Really enjoying the huck.
But I have several questions:

Does promoting a thief to a rogue give them steal+ (FE 5, 9-10 style where weapons could be stolen) or simply lets them keep steal, opposed to losing the ability to steal with an assassin promotion (like in FE 7-8).

Do you supposed to get consolatory gold for being late 1-2 turns for Dudley’s turn requirement? Because I remember getting it in chapter it was introduced but never again. Do you need to deploy Dudley to gain the gold?

An emerald axe(didn’t tested the other similar weapons) does not reduce the damage to its user against enemies with weapon triangle disadvantage. And wary fighter lance does not give it’s wielder wary fighter if attacked from range. Is this intentional or bugs?

Also wanted to ask if fallen units inventory goes to convoy or not. But I found it out the hard way (RIP Dawson).

I am glad you are enjoying it. To answer your questions:

  1. No. Both Rogues and Assassins keep the regular steal skill, the difference is in their class skill; Rogues get canto, Assassins get lethality.

  2. Dudley must be deployed and survive to the end of the chapter to obtain the gold reward. You still get gold if you do not meet the turn requirement, but the amount decreases by ten per cent for every turn behind you are. The maximum amount is four thousand on normal, three thousand on hard, and two thousand on lunatic.

  3. The Emerald Axe (and other Triangle Adept skills and weapons) only double weapon triangle advantages, not disadvantages.

  4. Weapon skills only apply if the weapon can attack in the combat, rather than just having to be equipped. So the Lapetus being a one-range lance, the Wary Fighter skill will only trigger in melee combat.

  5. The inventory of fallen units will not go to the convoy on a regular playthrough, but it will on New Game Plus.

Thank you for detailed answer! May I suggest some small changes for better mechanical clarity?

  1. Rogue promotion screen shows steal skill, but I think it should display canto(also is this just regular canto or canto+ with which rogue could back off after stealing?).

  2. After testing the triangle adept weapons I found out that they affect both advantages and disadvantages, but only for the user. I think their description should be “Doubles weapon triangle for the wielder” to further differentiate them from reaver wepons, which affect both combatants.

Hey, what are your plans for the next update and future updates? Will it take a long time for the next update and/or a final version? Is the game 100% playable from start to finish?

@Arhuhamel, the game was fully finished as of v1.0.0 around three months ago; there are no future updates. Any additional patches that have been released since then (currently v1.0.4) have been solely to fix minor bugs that have been reported to me, not to add any content.

@ProstoZadonat, thank you. If the Rogue promotion screen is incorrect, I will fix that tomorrow. As for your question, if I remember correctly, the Rogue canto works after stealing and picking locks, but not after attacking.

Edit: v1.0.5 has been released to fix the aforementioned bug.

v1.0.6 has been released to fix the following issues related to the Ballistician class:

  • Fixed an issue where mounted Ballisticians could unintentionally use certain bows, namely the Epirus, Devil Bow, Gold Bow, and Holy Bow.

  • Fixed an issue where the Ballistician class would get unpromoted experience gain due to its interaction with being able to dismount into the dismounted Archer class. To fix this, the two classes now have a unique formula more in line with other promoted classes, with Ballisticians gaining slightly more experience when mounted to make up for its lower kill count.

  • For enhanced clarity, dismounted Archers now retain the “Ballistician” class name and skill to avoid confusion between the dismounted Archer and the regular Archer class.

Edit (v1.0.7): I have now fixed an unintended knock-on effect from v1.0.6 where enemy Ballisticians ended up having way too high stats.
