Dual Wielding

One mechanic I’ve always wanted to see was dual wielding. The way I could foresee it working is a character can equip 2 weapons instead of one, and attack with both one after the other during combat. It can potentially be a huge boss killer if you equipped 2 brave swords and had Astra. The drawback would be that this character would also have to put up with the combined weight of both weapons instead of a single one, so it wouldn’t be a good idea to equip 2 silver blades or a silver blade and the Regal Blade for example. Not sure how to actually program it though.

Ah yes, the curse of the idea man. I actually had a really similar idea! Certain weapons would also work better when dual wielding, like receiving boosted damage or something. And, for weapon triangle purposes, one weapon was the “primary” weapon, and the other the “secondary” weapon. For example, a Soldier wielding a Lance would have increased hit and damage against a Hero dual wielding an Iron Sword as their primary weapon and an Iron Axe as their secondary weapon. The Hero’s Sword would have reduced damage and hit, but the Axe would have increased damage and hit. There’s a lot more ideas and stuff you can do with this system, although I doubt anyone will, at least for a while. Coding it is… difficult.
