This is without a doubt the best romhack of any game I have ever played, and just in general without any qualifiers, an excellent game. It is like a mix of fire emblem and shining force with a dash of arc the lad. Couldn’t put it down/destroyed my productivity for the last month. Thanks to everyone involved
I’m really glad you enjoyed playing! Thanks for the kind words ![]()
Are there no combat animations in this game?
Hey, having a great time so far with this! Reporting a crash that occurs whenever I save on Albredias Ridge
EDIT: It turns out that this crash is more widespread than I thought: whenever I try to save, I am booted to this screen.
Very interesting concept—looking forward to see what else the game is in store.
There’s an obvious point of frustration for me playing on the internet version. The game has no way to restart inside it, meaning that if I screwed up a scenario’s setup or run out of the turnwheel, the only way I can reset is to manually reload the webpage, which takes a while because of the loading.
Nope!
Thanks for the report - a couple of people have seen this on the web version. Unfortunately, this is a product of the save files just naturally getting big. I would open developer tools in your browser and download your saves as backups, and then delete all but the most recent ones from the browser storage. I’m sorry that I can’t just offer a patch to fix it though ![]()
More thoughts about the game:
I think it’s a really interesting concept to remove offensive stats from a character and instead rely on weapons and forges to improve their power. You also don’t have defense and rely on a combination of break and dodges for defense. This means that a character can’t be screwed that much from bad offense/defense growth, although getting speed screwed can still very much be a problem ![]()
Question about an event in-game: when I used Nika in Flowery’s loyalty mission, she seems to get berserked. Is this a plot point because I don’t think she’s involved in the mission otherwise?
Question: can you provide more instructions on how to launch the developer tool in the browser and manipulate the save files? I’m using Safari and am not familiar with this operation
Yep, the Nika berserk is intentional. Doing her loyalty mission might provide some additional context, but if you aren’t planning on doing that or have done it and are still confused I’m happy to elaborate here.
I unfortunately do not have an apple product so I can’t provide first hand experience, but you can find a guide here:
I’m really enjoying it so far, but I was wondering if there might be a guide made or something like that. I’m starting to get my ass kicked and I’m sure I’m not playing the “best” lol.
There isn’t a guide, but I (and I’m sure others who have played the game) are happy to answer questions or offer advice! Where have you gotten to in the game?
Right now the ones i have available are the Mausoleum, The Senate, The ridge, and taking back your castle. I feel like I’ve either just missed a bunch of master seals or just have no clue where to get them. I’ve got 3 guys promoted. I’ve forged the weapons up pretty good I think. I also could just be bad lol.
Hmm, that’s an interesting lineup. I would think that the ridge is your best bet - have you recruited Lupus yet? That map could be a source of easy EXP if you haven’t found it.
Hello ! I think I have finished my first playthrough haha. However I would like to know, is there any way to know how to unlock other endings?
I’ll DM you ![]()
give us the spoiler please
So I finally finished my first playthrough after playing it on and off since it came out. Overall, great work. I’m not an experienced romhack player (just created an account to comment on this) but this has been an interesting experience to say the least even if it took me a bit of time to get used to the combat and progression system. I have encountered a few bugs and I have a few personal issues with some parts of the game but I still liked it overall, and I can see how much work went into this project, so congrats!.
Quick question, does the ending depends on the final choice, and is there a way to see what happens without having to replay the last map three times?
The ending does depend on the final choice. Additionally, there is a hidden ending and a true ending. To get the true ending, you’ll need to have Raymond, loyal Alina, loyal Mitzi, and follow what they ask you to do
You would need to replay the final map, yeah.
Thanks for taking the time to play! I’m glad you enjoyed your experience overall.
Thanks! Alright I’ll get to it when I find the time. At least the last map isn’t much trouble after all the time I spent optimizing my team xD
I’m confused, where to get Raymond? I don’t recall meeting him at all yet I think I’ve done everything
Great game, but I’ve run into an issue at Ebert’s Estate. I’ve already completed the mission there, but the npc will still trigger the mission as if I did not. I entered the mission again thinking maybe it was repeatable. At the deployment stage the exit option is grayed out, and Ebert doesn’t actually spawn making the mission incompletable and leaving me softlocked.
