C SkillSystem - Skill Icons Request

Hi guys, over the past year I’ve made a load of custom skills for my buildfile. And was wondering there were some talented spriters that could assist me in getting some icons made?

To give some examples:

Todo

Destiny Bond: If the enemy kills this unit, they die as well

Danger Ranger: Allows the unit to rescue and drop a unit in the same turn

Iron Dome: Take 50% less damage, but set avoid to 0

Kill Streak: Gain +1% crit for every battle the unit wins in this chapter

Insomnia: This unit is immune to the sleep status effect

Magic Seal:Block magic from being used in a 10 tile radius of the user

Mend Arms: Restore every weapon the unit can use by 1 when defeating a full HP enemy in one hit

Mimic: Attack with the same weapon as the enemy

Done

Water Walking: Allows the unit to move on water tiles :ballot_box_with_check:

Perch: Flying units gain terrain bonuses :ballot_box_with_check:

Wrestler: Unit can use movement skills on enemy units :ballot_box_with_check:

Shed Skin: Status effects on last half as long on this unit :ballot_box_with_check:

Duel: Both units engage in combat until someone dies :ballot_box_with_check:

Toxic - Inflicts Toxic poison on foes after battle (worsens each turn) :ballot_box_with_check:

Transform - Turn into a selected class with +6 stat boosts across the board :ballot_box_with_check:

Trip Up - This unit ignores the enemy’s terrain bonuses :ballot_box_with_check:

Double Up - Guarantee 2 stat levels ups :ballot_box_with_check:

Triple Up - Guarantee 3 stat levels ups :ballot_box_with_check:

Turncoat - Turn a beaten enemy into an ally for a turn :ballot_box_with_check:

Unaware - Ignore the stat boosts of the enemy unit in battle :ballot_box_with_check:

Arise - Raise a dead allied unit with 1 HP :ballot_box_with_check:

Arena Trap - Prevents foes in a 2 tile radius from moving :ballot_box_with_check:

Casual - This unit revives at the end of the chapter :ballot_box_with_check:

Assign Decoy - Give an ally unit the ‘decoy’ status for 1 turn (they become the target of enemy attacks) :ballot_box_with_check:

Blacksmith - Restore equipped weapon for 1000 gold if it is under B rank :ballot_box_with_check:

Comatose - This unit can still attack and move while asleep :ballot_box_with_check:

Whitemage: Healing staves heal 50% more than usual :ballot_box_with_check:

Death Blight: Inflict the “Damned” status on enemies. Usable once per map (units with the "Damned status die when it wears off) :ballot_box_with_check:

Anger Point: Plus 10 ATK for the turn after sustaining a critical hit :ballot_box_with_check:

Decadon: Deal a fixed 10 points of damage each attack :ballot_box_with_check:

Twin Crests: The unit can perform two actions a turn :ballot_box_with_check:

Secret: Allows the unit to access the secret shop :ballot_box_with_check:

Seer: All unit attacks hit, all enemy attacks miss :ballot_box_with_check:

I’m not gonna be of any help; but that last skill is terrifying and I cannot wait to see how its utilized.

I wouldn’t call myself talented, but I decided to take a crack at the skills you mentioned.
WaterWalking Water Walking (used the man from the seal skills as a shortcut)
Perch Perch (if you can’t tell, that’s a bird on the branch)
Wrestling Wrestling (I decided on using a wrestling mat, since it was simpler than using 2 guys)
ShedSkin Shed Skin (It’s a snake discarding its old skin)
Duel Duel (I decided on making 2 swords with faces, and the clashing of the swords made a light like the sun)

All of them it seems

Fixed them. I just recreated them in Usenti using other skill icons as a base (which already had the right palettes) and saved those.

I figured it was a palette issue. Couldn’t find the right template for the skills, but glad you were able to fix it!

Now that I got the palette properly, I decided to take another crack. I hope you don’t mind.
Toxic Toxic (Went for skull&crossbones with some poison particles)
Transforn Transform (Tried to make a butterfly, think the sparkles ruined it)
TripUp Trip Up (The trees will not protect you)
DoubleUp Double Up (Made the 2 myself)
TripleUp Triple Up (Made the 3 myself. Also thought it was a nice touch for the arrow to have 3 colors)
Turncoat Turncoat (The rationale for the design is that the red was quickly becoming blue)
Unaware Unaware (Finally got good milage from Usenti’s text tool, but the positioning of one of the question marks makes it look like the dude there has 1 red eye)

These are nice, thank you. The palette seems to be getting changed again. I can make the changes myself, but did you use the image I sent you as a base and save as 4 bit color?

I did use the image, but I forgot the 4 bit color thing. Sorry about that.

I find I frequently need to import and export graphics via febuilder to fix palette issues whenever I get things from the repo or from users. They often import without issue in febuilder, but if I try and directly use them in my builds, the palettes are out of order or break in some way.

It’d be nice if people did a quick import and export via febuilder before adding it to the gfx repo etc., but I think it’s understandable that that doesn’t always happen.

I should’ve fixed the palette issue this time, made sure to use the 4bit color saving.
Arise Arise (used the clasic trope for the undead of a hand erupting from a grave here.
ArenaTrap Arena Trap (Cage match)
Casual Casual (Dude on a chair reading the paper)
AssignDecoy Assign Decoy (Lookie here!)
Blacksmith Blacksmith (used a hammer on an anvil)
Comatose Comatose (made the guy snore and the lines are to show he is moving.
