Idk how to add video recordings on this site, so you gotta take my word for it.
Anyone who has tried to recolour spell animations will know that it is a massive pain.
Regardless, I am now taking SPELL RECOLOUR REQUESTS. On one condition:
- The spell must be from the repo.
The reason for this condition is that vanilla spells AREN’T scripted and are hardcoded. Thus, I can recolour the frames of vanilla spells, but you have to script it yourself. (which is pretty easy, tbh. It’s just time-consuming.)
If you’re fine with doing the scripting yourself and still want a vanilla spell recoloured, feel free to tell me. There’s actually this funny 2014 thread about ripping vanilla spell anims. Spell Animation Archive/Let's Have More of Them Project
But that aside, go wild with requests. If you want a repo spell recoloured into 5 different colours, just request it. Or if you have a giant list of requests. That’s also fine.
I can’t guarantee the spell will look good.
I’m still new to spell animations but I think a rainbow coloured spell animation would be possible.
