I’ve been playing a lot of FE hacks, new and old, and I have enjoyed those that implemented the capture mechanic from FE5. I noticed that the capture only works one way: player unit captures enemies, never the other way around. In FE5, enemies capturing players serves not only a narrative purpose but the gameplay purpose of neutering enemies stats which also gives low con units a unique niche. Has this facet of the capture mechanic implemented in any hacks?
i wonder if its too hard to be meaningfully implemented since capture was not in the GBA games
To my knowledge the Capture skill isn’t usable by the AI yet. But you can make an event using the Talk AI that lets units rescue others to achieve a similar effect. I do this in Sengoku Oda’s chapter 5 where you and the enemy are competing to have a specific unit rescued by the end of the turn count.
bells of byelen, since they don’t give you much itens you have to use this as a way to get some weapons
Yeah.

will the FE 7 in FE 5 hack ever be [complete] since it looks… really good, like really good. I adore the style of Thracia 776 and i would consider it my favorite style (graphics, map pallettes, battle anims) of the 2D FEs.
please let me make a FE5-styled insertable portrait of a FE7 character to be put in emblem chronicles
