You can edit unit's stats in Android

Winlator

Download that from Github.

Yes, you saw that right. You CAN open FE Builder in Android via Winlator. Although, you cannot do “romhacking” stuff with it…you can edit character stats, weapons etc. I’m not very knowledgeable about FE Builder so I can most definitely be wrong about that but you can try for yourself. I’ve tried changing some things by myself and let me tell you : it is amazing.

For example…

…you can make Shon good !

…with infinite stamina !

Or you can add a little twist

…to your Seth solo run !

I’ve done all this on my android device with no assistance from PC. And doing basic stuff like this is not hard. In fact, you’ll enjoy the process. And I can assure you, animations run smoothly. Yes, some unexpected things might happen when you change classes in some romhacks. For example, when I gave Shon the Mystic Sage class, his animation glitched out a bit. All you gotta do is keep attention at battle palettes and animation. I put the zero value there and the animation worked as usual !

Everything works perfectly for me. Although, I cannot guarantee anything if you try to mess too much with your file. If you get any notification to enable some patches then tap “ignore and continue”. Enabling those will crash winlator. I thought ignoring those patches would be harmful but nothing bad happened to my rom.

IMPORTANT
If your phone has snapdragon then set Turnip in “Graphics Driver” section.

If your phone has Mediatek or something else then VirGL would be good. My phone has Mediatek and I’ve set VirGL in my settings.

Although, Winlator will give you the prompt when you try to open FE Builder exe file, you should install Wine Mono in advance.

Here are the steps :

  1. Tap start at the down-left corner.
  2. Go to “System Tools”
  3. Go to “Installers”
  4. Tap on “Wine Mono”

I tried to run FE Builder in Android multiple times in past but Winlator didn’t work most of the times. After numerous updates, it works now.

Omg thank you so much! I might give it a try in the future. I wasn’t able to run FEBuilder on my phone despite having an emulator (forgot the name).

For some reason FEBuilder won’t finish installing for me. I just get stuck in the “extrating” screen.

Can you send a screenshot of that ?

Extracting FE Builder takes some time in Android. You must be extracting a 7z format file of FE Builder. It took time for me too so please be patient. Once, the process is complete, you’ll have to arrange the config folder and FEBuilder.exe file under one folder. I’ll update more information in the main post a bit later.

I had the same issue however I did get the 7z file. I just don’t know what to do next since I don’t see any exe file to open.

Have you extracted that 7z file via ZArchiver ? If it’s extracted then you’ll have to search it by typing “FEBuilderGBA.exe”.

I tried that but it didn’t work, I’ll try to download it again to see if the file isn’t corrupted or incomplete. How long do you think it takes to extract?

I don’t remember exactly but it took somewhere around 15 minutes.
