Yes or No questions in ROMs

Hi,
I’m new here to FE Universe, but I have been getting into Rom hacking and I thought it would be cool to build an event where, at the end of a chapter, you get the choice to actually kill the boss or not. I have everything lined up correctly I believe except when I tried to test it, the choice to select yes or no never came up…
If there is anyone out there who has a solution I would love to here it.
P.S. this is rom hack for Sacred Stones.
